"This was a nice place to stay -- very modern in decor, very clean, though a little sparse. Good lighting in the room, and good heating/cooling unit with continuous fan setting (a must-have). The one thing we noticed was that the doors let in a lot of sound from the hallway. Our room was inside the main building (i.e. entryway was inside), so perhaps the rooms with exterior entries don't have as much of that problem. "

"I stay at Grouse usually in the fall for hockey. This was my first time staying in May. The largest draw to this hotel is their hot-tub and sauna. It was not advertised until check in that they were doing remodeling on that area so it’s closed until June. The onsite restaurant is a nice benefit to this place however the walls are notoriously thin at this hotel and the air conditioner does not keep the room cool enough as it’s very outdated. If I had known ahead of time that the hot tub was closed I wouldn’t have wasted my money on a hot room where I can hear the people in the next room."
