"Great hotel. Bed was comfortable, got a good night of sleep (important after Kathmandu), and the balcony was a great place to relax. Plus, breakfast was most excellent. 🙏"

"For the price, this was a really good hotel. The views of the lake are great. We really enjoyed the owner and son. Chatting with them is nice. Lots of food options and shopping around. Their restaurant had great BBQ food. AND, pale ale (first I saw in all of Nepal). I recommend a stay. But dont expect a palace...you pay for a good stay. You get it. "

"everything stood out!!! from the reception desk to the breakfast staff. I felt like I was amongst family during my stay.
They made me feel very welcome and at home. Tending to every detail in the hotel, you should be happy to have such a wonderful stuff working there."
"Great place to stay--quiet end of the road but still on the lake. Breakfast was great, pool is awesome.
We had trouble with the AC which we didn't realize until it was time to go to bed. It was warm in our room overnight. The hotel crew tried to fix it the next day but were unable. To their credit, the management moved us to another room with working AC...and it was a bit of an upgrade,"
"We loved our stay at the Fish Tail Lodge! The hotel in general is beautiful and the room was spacious and pretty. The breakfast had so many options and even a “bar” for cooking eggs according to your preference. We found very unique having to cross the lake by boat (the ride is only a couple of minutes but changes everything). And finally, big shoutout to the staff, they were all AMAZING and made the big difference for us to bring so many nice memories of our days in Pokhara. I’d pick this hotel again no question."
"Incredible and fantastic resort. The best I’ve stayed at so far. And I’ve stayed at Marriott, Aloft and other 5 star hotels in Nepal, this is the best experience by far.
The details they put into this hotel is really top notch.
The place is beautifully maintained daily, the grass are always free of leafs and branches, the gardening job is done perfectly, and they do this everyday.
The housekeeping team is like magic, the second you left for lunch and come back, boom the room is made and it’s perfectly clean.
The service are the most incredible, I was sick for days and they gave me thermometer, electrolytes, ginger lemon honey tea, make outside of the menu soup for me and get it delivered to my room, they called the doctor for consultation, and even gave me a free ride to the hospital. And then everyone is asking “how are you, are you feeling better”. It’s really incredible, made me feel like home and truly cared for above and beyond.
Even the driver they have is amazing the car is clean, snd the way he drive is extra gentle and careful make you feel safe. You know they put in all that extra effort to add to the experience."
"I recently spent a week at Mountain View Hotel, and it was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. This family-run hotel excels in warm hospitality—everyone is friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. A special shout-out to DhiRaj, who went above and beyond to organize all my travel and adventure excursions. Thanks to his expertise, my trip to Nepal was seamless and stress-free. From the moment I arrived, everything was taken care of, allowing me to dive straight into the adventure. Despite being budget-friendly, the hotel offers excellent facilities. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with everything in perfect working order—including a kettle, which was a thoughtful touch. The bed was cozy, and after long, adventure-packed days, it was a relief to have such a comfortable place to recharge. The location is another bonus—just off the main road, it’s peaceful while still close to the action. It’s about a 10-minute stroll to Lakeside, and there’s even a huge park across the road for morning runs. One of the most memorable parts of my stay was meeting fellow guests, who were all friendly and easygoing. In a fun twist, the pilot from my helicopter ride to Base Camp was staying next door! If you’re looking for a welcoming, affordable place to stay in Nepal where you’ll be treated like family, Mountain View Hotel is the place to be."
