"I would not recommend anyone because the room Hibiscus No 15 and 11 were terrible poorly maintained there were lizards everywhere and mosquitoes. We asked for a mosquito diffuser and the receptionist told us they would send one which was in vain as nobody came along. The bedsheet was torn very old and most of all we all didn’t sleep as the bed was not comfortable one could feel the wire spring on our back. "Family holiday for 9 nights - 2 adults 3 kids (9,16,17). Fantastic week, cannot fault the resort everything was pretty much perfect. All inclusive took out the concern about unexpected bills. Excellent food - even buffet was huge selection, very high quality, and varied themes every day. Never felt overly full even on a busy week, sunloungers could be found. Pool lovely. Youngest enjoyed the kids entertainment which he dipped in and out of. Lots of kayaks and boats to use. Cannot fault. And I usually find something!"

Petit bémol au bar : une serveuse a refusé de me servir un verre en m’expliquant que la bouteille demandée était uniquement destinée à l’exposition. Une petite déception dans une expérience globalement très positive. Nous gardons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour !"

"We stayed in La Pirogue, Wolmer Mauritius as a family for 4 nights. Our stay was excellent and we found the resort exactly in the same condition as seen in the pictures. While there was a bit of confusion in the airport taxi pick up, but i wouldn't take away a single credit from this resort, its excellent amenities, courteous staff, and good food. The hospitality is top class, and the best part is that you can spend days in the resort with your family as they have so many things to do. La Pirogue made our vacation really memorable, and we would definitely stay if we returned to Mauritius again."

"We only had a short stay and didn’t get to use all the facilities to hand. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was that we were unable to use the adult only pool due to not booking in to the Nivarna area considering that the pool area was only 50% occupancy. I do think this policy needs to be reviewed."

"Very impressed with the hotel Situated on the beach really. Restaurant overlooking thd beach and sea. Staff were excellent nothing too much trouble for them I went H/B and the meals were served to you. Breakfasts were good, omlettes to order if you wanted or any type of cooked eggs. Bacon etc. Then patries if you wanted. You had a choice mainly 3 things from each course for breakfast. Fruit juice and as many cups of coffee as you liked. Evening meals were very good, 3 courses if you wished and plenty of options. A few had a surcharge on mainly fish courses like lobster etc which is to be expected. The rooms were a good size with a large bathroom and walk in shower style. The rooms were serviced each day I think they all overlook the pool and sum loungers. Small garden in front of the ground floor rooms. I must say though and it is my only critiscm try not to get allocated a room near reception as you will hear road noise. Although it does go quieter after 10 pm at night. I could have changed rooms but after unpacking and sorting clothes out you dont want to be mithered packing again to move rooms. But thats my own personal choice. The restaurant, Le Skipper is separate from the hotel which i didnt find out till my last day but also the staff in there were brilliant. The hotel itself is situated about 100yds from Trou au Biches boundary and about a 20 min walk from Trou aux Biches beach etc. Great hotel, great staff and peaceful place."
