This has been a highlight of our trip down the coast. It was a beautiful place to stop along our trip! The morning views from the balcony were spectacular! We enjoyed the light breakfast and the staff was very helpful! It was fun walking around the ocean and the pier. The restaurant below was an added bonus.
The location. The views and the personal touch Karen and her team deliver make this special.
From the quiet harbor location to the fabulous gumbo and wine for dinner. Hard to beat
I had a very private room with French doors opening onto its own large deck with an amazing view of the ocean. It felt like a luxurious retreat. There were limited dining options but the dishes that were available were great and delivered directly to your room. The staff was helpful & friendly. I didn’t want to leave.
We only got to stay one night on an Oregon coast road trip, and we wish we had more time!! It was such a beautiful peaceful location, with amazing sunsets! Also, two different places to eat right below it, which was so convenient and yummy!!
The rooms are a little dated, but so clean and in such a lovely spot, that there are it's easy to overlook!!
I would call this a hidden gem, with it's beautiful placement and the lovely people we met at the hotel, and the local restaurants!!
Front desk help was excellent. Property is attractive and well-maintained. View of the ocean was magnificent. Bed was comfortable (and not overstocked with pillows). Room was clean, well laid out and spacious (high ceiling especially welcome). Great care was taken with shower facilities. But hand towels and body wash were on the skimpy side. Though exactly what they advertised, the “breakfast snacks” would benefit from more variety, and a better assortment of plates and bowls. Parking was okay, but tight.
The owner was very helpful. The room was charming, with a wonderful view. It would be difficult for mobility restricted guest to climb to a number of the rooms on the side of the building, however our room was perfect. The jacuzzi tub was a nice touch,
Very clean room. Karen, at the front desk is very welcoming. A peaceful location to visit and unwind; will definitely come back

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was clean and offered a view of the
ocean. However the property was bit away from Hwy 1 and not easily accessible. The amenities in the room were quite dated. The sink was inconveniently low - barely 2-3 feet from the floor and bathroom was very small.
Wharf Master’s Inn was delightful. The staff is top notch - so friendly in checking in, housekeeping and the grounds keeper was wonderful!
Loved the room with a balcony looking over The Cove. Jacuzzi, fireplace, we never wanted to leave!
The Wharf Master’s Inn staff were extremely helpful and Friendly. The Inn was charming with amazing ocean views from the balcony and was very peaceful and quiet. The Wave restaurant was lovely and yummy too.
A truly great find!!
This was my first time staying at Wharfmasters Inn. It makes a nice destination along the north coast. Point Arena is a cute little town with some nice restaurants and music sometimes as well. The little cafe at wharf masters was also nice and convenient. I will surely return.
The room was great with amazing views. Top notch service from all the staff. Highly recommend! We had a fabulous stay, thank you for making our stay special!
The staff was very helpful and friendly. I gave amenities a 5 star even though most didn't apply to me a single traveler. I did use the hot tub. After driving all morning it was a great relief. The outdoor area with darts and cornhole would be great for a family get together and there is exclusive access to a trail that runs all the way from there, the Point Arena Pier to the Point Arena Lighthouse. I didn't have time to do it so I will have to go back! I enjoyed watching the Pelicans and Terns diving for Anchovies while enjoying a beverage from my balcony. I recommend Wharf Master Inn. Specially for a romantic getaway but it was good for me traveling solo.
What a beautiful surprise, the small lane to access and the feeling of being off the beaten path. The facilities are in pristine shape and very clean. The rooms are nice. The beds, very comfortable. We enjoyed the coziness of the fireplace. The buffet breakfast is small in choices but very good. The yogurt was some off the best I have had. The staff are great!!!
We greatly enjoyed our three day stay. We chose Point Arena for peace and quiet, and we got lots of it. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our Keurig machine was a dud, and they went out directly to purchase and install a new one. They also prepare a dinner and breakfast (limited menu) on request and there is an excellent continental breakfast always available.
The view of the harbor from our room was spectacular and we spent a lot of our time just watching the waves roll in and the pelicans diving.
I was startled to find Point Arena's main street disappointingly run down. Forty years ago it was a vibrant little place and people driving PCH would stop on their way for a meal and to shop, now they seem to drive straight through. Even the turn off to the harbor and hotel is a challenge to find.
Do stop out of town at the lighthouse. It's a gem.
