"The expectations are pretty low in Iquitos, but this hotel managed to slip UNDER them.
Staff was unaware of my reservation (having a digital copy of the Hotels.com receipt saved me) and just seemed unable to make things happen. I asked numerous times if I should just go somewhere else, but they seemed powerless to even enable that decision.
The room was dirty (stained sheets and hair in the sink drains) and the towels wet. That last point can be forgiven in the jungle, but not when piled...

"Staff was friendly and efficient. Couldn’t get hot water and there is mold on the ceiling in the main room and bathroom. We have fairly low standards though, so it was sufficient for us."

"Basic hotel. OK for the price paid.. Big plus was its very central location one block away from plaza de armas. No hot water for showers.. They advertised free breakfast but staff don't know anything about it and no breakfast was available. "
