Check in was a breeze. The front desk spoke good English (unlike my other hotel in Iquitos). Facilities and rooms were clean and modern. I took the front desk my flight would be early that I needed a taxi and would miss breakfast. He understood and arranged a boxed lunch for me to pick up (I didn’t ask) during morning check out. Their attention to customers need allowed me to enjoy quick meal while waiting at the airport.

What a wonderful place is this hotel and Iquitos! The hotel has a world class free breakfast buffet. There are several restaurants and an outdoor corner cafe in the hotel. Our days in Iquitos were some of our happiest memories. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazingly friendly. Very close to Heaven! The rooftop restaurant overlooks the Amazon river area. Take some tours. Ride a moto-taxi. The city is a hub of constant amazing activity. We would love to go there often.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Very nice roof top pool, nice roof top restaurant. Great location with nice views. Stay were kind and helpful. Rooms were clean, cute. Small in size but we had just a standard room. For our purpose we were ok with the small space. My only issue with the room and we stayed in two different rooms, was there was a weird order. I am not sure if this was due to the humidity/dampness of being near the jungle, but both our rooms had a wire smell. It was ok and we didn’t make a complaint about it as it was minimal but something worth noting. Oh and if you are a TV person, both our tvs did not work with clear screens. Again, very minor and we didn’t not mention it as we were not bothered.

The hot water only worked for 1 of the 3 nights. We complained and once it was "fixed". It only worked once. Outside of that, breakfast was simple and service was good. It has a nice view of the pool and located in a central location

Not a great experience. No hot or even warm water. We complained and were told that it was normal. We asked other guests and they had hot water to shower. This would have been tolerable for me, but we had young children that cried as they had to shower in cold water. This would be expected in the amazon, but not in a 4 star hotel in the city. To make matters worst, I booked a suite 6 months ago through expedia and paid for it. Upon arrival, it was not available and I was downgraded. I had to pay for the downgraded room again with my credit card and get reimbursed in soles for my original booking.

Resonably priced, Hotel de Touristas is conveniently situated near the Plaza de Armas within walking distance. Our room was a suite overlooking the Malecon and the beautiful Rio beyond. On the fourth floor there is an open air restaurant which offers a panoramic view of a tributary of the Amazon and nature beyond, all while you can sip on a Pisco sour if you wish. Complimentary breakfast is served in the morning on the first floor before you venture out to your next adventure. Overall a good value, and no doubt the best in town.
