"The lodge is wonderful, serving staff are top rank . Its spotlessly clean and stylish, the food is of a high standard and portions very generous. Good coffee available also . The lodge is surrounded by rainforest teeming with life ....birds / lizards/ monkeys/ frogs/ spiders. I have a particular interest in phoneutria sp ....wandering spiders and saw many at night ....such impressive spiders....and shy and calm........wanted to see them for many years, and danta made a reality. Its definitely worth booking a night walk with juan...he is very knowledgeable about the local wildlife .....and the taxi service danta lays on is excellent and a lovely lady who greets you . My only thought is that a swimming pool would have been the icing on the cake .....and i would of given it 5 stars ......as it stands this lodge still gets a sllid 4.5 stars . "

"Lovely staff, great food, as others have said it's very rustic which depends on your point of view how you take that. I loved it however, both ATV transfers we asked for didn't materialise which, esp for the route back, was mildly annoying. Being in the room whilst it was raining cats and dogs during the night was incredible"

"Unique and very special! This rustic home was a truly one-of-a-kind property and provided a great experience for our family. The location is private and secluded, yet not far off the highway. It truly feels like a jungle camp--the monkeys, tropical birds, lizards, and frogs in the surrounding forest gave it such a wild feel! The pool is large, clean, and shaded and was an added bonus.Do be aware, however, that this is mostly NOT an air conditioned property. The master bedroom (upstairs) is the only space that has air conditioning. The downstairs common area and kitchen, as well as the upstairs sleeping loft, are only cooled with fans and windows, so if heat is a concern for you, you might need to plan accordingly.That said, it was the perfect place for our family to stay while on the Osa Peninsula! It is very clean and our hosts, Gerardo and Beatriz, were accommodating and wonderful."

"Luna Lodge is a simply remarkable place to be and not just explore, but join, the jungle. There’s a sense of beautiful surrender found there, beginning with the trek to the lodge itself. I don’t realize what a special place I had booked until we arrived. I had a 4x4 and loved the adventure of crossing (small) rivers and rocks as we traversed the path to Luna’s remote location. The property is a little paradise. It overlooks pure jungle with all the animals that can be spotted at Corcovado. The tours and guides are amazing - l loved how passionate and knowledgeable Mauro was about the wildlife, and it’s so nice to depart directly from the lodge. Our sleeping quarters was comfortable as well - we chose a tent which was a wonderful way to be in touch with nature. We were there in March, and the fan provided plenty of air. After a day exploring, it was nice to sleep under the stars in a natural setting. You can tell that Luna was built with a lot of love. Everything is thought out and beautiful, including the food. This was the best part of our trip and we cannot wait to return. "

"If you are going to visit the Osa Peninsula, this is a great place to stay. We loved the small casita with abundant wildlife. We are backpackers and RVers, so bringing all our provisions was no problem for us. You’ll have two miles of black sand beaches almost to yourself. A sea turtle sanctuary, more monkeys and macaws than you can count. Beto, who maintains the property, is an added treasure. We feel like we made a friend. We can’t wait to come back. "
