"Luxury in the heart of nature. Botanika is a beautiful Hilton Curio property located opposite the airport (not a problem) on the edge of a lovely piece of jungle property on the edge of the bay. To be clear the bay is a bit of a walk from the property but there are nature walking trails. Pros: Modern, clean rooms; thoughtful staff & housekeeping); excellent restaurant and bar at pool; and a fantastic pool/Jacuzzi they have bulk sunscreen (great idea). The beach shuttle (4x4 Land Cruiser) takes you to a private, quiet paradise with full beach bar & menu. We literally were the only ones on the beach for a 1/2 mile each way. We had a wonderful lunch after a few restful hours walking, swimming and lounging They provided beach towels. Walk back to the Crocodile Bay property and Dining: Great breakfast but a bit pricey, dinner was very nice at the restaurant. The pool bar’s quesadilla was an amazing choice. Service: The restaurant staff and drivers are all wonderful—incredibly friendly/helpful. "

We truly enjoyed being disconnected from the outside world and amercing ourselves in nature. The hiking trails, animals and beautiful ocean was truly a gift. Thank you to Joel, Olga and Henah! "Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Michael was a very quality host who answered all our questions and made us feel at home, but was not too intrusive on our stay. He was perfect. Now the home itself....not many words can truly describe it. Being an open-air home in the jungle was such an amazing experience. It immerses you into the jungle. You get to experience sites and sounds found in very few other places on the planet. Yes, there were things to get used to (no AC, bugs, critters, sounds, etc.) but those are the things that make it feel authentically jungle. We found our sleep schedules change in a natural way and as a result we felt more refreshed each and every morning. I've never enjoyed a 5am morning coffee more than in this house watching toucans, macaws and other birds fly about and listening to howler monkeys in the distance. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way!"
