"Very clean, great breakfast, but we got 1st floor room right next to the highway very noisy."

"If I had to complaint it would be, no Keurig coffee machine in my room. I think it’s wrong that it’s only in the Suites. Should be in all rooms. I understand why there’s no microwaves, but that still sucks as well. And the walk from the hotel room to the casino it’s a bit far but also a good exercise"

"I absolutely loved this hotel. It was pretty clean for an old building. It has that old historic feel to it and the hotel throughout look really cool. A lot of the stuff is pretty outdated but that is okay because I think it is supposed to look that way because of the history behind the hotel and it adds to the charm of the history. When I booked the room, I thought there was just going to be a microwave and mini fridge but there was actually a kitchenette, but I don't know if that is in all rooms or not. I did only put 3 stars on the staff & service because we didn't really interact with the staff at all except for check in which was really fast, and we had put the do not disturb sign on the door the whole time so that they wouldn't go in our room to clean while we were out since we didn't really need it because we only stayed for 2 nights. I absolutely loved the elevator, it scared me a bit because it's so old, but it's a cute, charming, interesting, old style elevator. I also loved it being in downtown next to everything so we can just walk there. All in all, loved this place and will most likely be going back again one day! "

"Beautiful property and wonderful host. Close property was well maintained and provided beautiful areas for lounging and picnicking. Plenty of room beyond that for exploring and hiking. The host was gracious and spent some time talking to us, however was not invasive at all and afforded us plenty time to ourselves. Really enjoyed the animals and meeting the desert tortoise. 100% will stay again in the future."

"The staff are very accommodating, VERY polite. Its an old school style motor lodge, so you park right in front of your room, which is great cuz Im disabled. The pool looked refreshing but i didnt get a chance to use. P.S. it appears they are"

"I’m a mom of three kids, and told my husband that all I wanted for Mother’s Day was a night to myself, full of self care and good sleep. This cozy cottage was more than I ever expected. I loved the antiques incorporated into the decor and farmhouse feel. The bed was so comfortable and the outdoor environment was charming and inviting. The hostess was communicative and kind."

"We selected this property to join for a 50-year reunion of Nursery School moms. We planned on walking and talking sharing wine and food over the course of our stay. The setting was perfect for all of us. The view of the lake, the horses out to pasture, the variety of birds, the bass fishermen on the shore and the quiet was what we all needed. We walked the vineyards, the horse arena, stalls and wedding venue. Everything was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, the towels plentiful, and the furniture well chosen to enjoy the views. The kitchen was well stocked with matching dishes, glasses, pots and pans not always found on other properties. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful making it easy for all the ladies to shower, and bathe without crowding. We purchased our food before arrival and planned on preparing all meals on site over the course of four days. We only needed to drive into Placerville for some seasonings, aluminum foil and saran wrap. We will return and are highly recommending this site for a wedding or other celebration. Arrive early, extend your stay and rest. This should be a 6-star property"
