Every employee, at this property, made sure we were taken care of. Everyone was so friendly, professional and courteous! We could walk everywhere we needed to go. I will definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

I was happy with Fairfield Inn & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown! The front desk people and the valets were all very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was a nice spread, better than I’d dared hope for a complementary breakfast. Everything provided was quality and had lots of selection. Also, the building was aesthetically pleasing, and clean. The lobby furniture was cool! Great service, great decor, nice rooms, quality free breakfast! What more could a person want?

Excellent service from hotel staff. Needed an extra blanket and received one. Firm mattress, which is important to me. Breakfast spread was diverse in options which included hot oatmeal and cold cereals, decaf coffee and regular coffee, hot teas, eggs both scrambled and boiled, sausage, muffins, toast, waffles. Great view of the Monongahela River. Plenty of lighting in room, refrigerator, and excellent shower.

We asked for the room to be cleaned during our 3 night stay, and came back to a dirty room. Then whej we called the front desk, they told us all cleaning staff had gone home and so they could not clean the room. Another night we called the front desk and aksed for water - they asked us to come down to get it. Lastly, a lot of noise at night, and overall quite the number of homeless in the vicinity of the hotel - does not feel safe to walk at night.

Inside of the property was fine. A few cosmetic issues (lock on bathroom door was broken as well as the toilet paper dispenser). Everyone was really nice and the breakfast served was great! Downside, there was a substantial amount of homeless tenters outside of the property which could influence people staying on the property. We did not encounter any issues with them and the property requires a key fob to be scanned to get inside. This is not the property's fault, I do understand that. Just a downside.

The hotel itself is lovely. Rooms were nice. Two issues…. 1- There is a homeless encampment across the street. We pulled up at night… The family did not feel safe, although the valet parking helped assuage those concerns. Furthermore, the front door is locked and people cannot wander in if they are not a guest. 2- The breakfast was lacking. We got to breakfast about 8:30 and it closes at 9:00. The coffee was cold. The bacon was gone. And nothing fresh was bright out. The oatmeal buffet was nice and they had the usual waffle makers… so we didn’t go hungry.

Ny first night things were great. The second night there was a youth hockey team that ran up and down the hallway all night. Although it was out of the hotels control work trucks or dump trucks started going at 5:30 until 7:30. Beautiful hotel but i don't think i will stay here again.

The hotel was very clean and staff was so nice. The homeless in the neighborhood set up tents all around the hotel. This hotel is not an ideal location but it is beautiful inside. Continental breakfast was great and I'm glad it's on the second floor because if it was ground level, the homeless people would be able to watch you eat while they're starving and freezing.

The entire property is surrounded by homeless encampments. Because of this, the doors remain locked, and supposedly you can swipe your key to get in. My keys never worked. And so I was often left outside feeling unsafe until someone reluctantly opened and then scolded me for not using my keys. I absolutely did not feel safe here. Further, there was a brown smear on my wall, housekeeping came 2-3 times and it remained there. The main issue is safety. I waited for all my Ubers inside because even being at the door of the hotel felt shady. Never again.
