"Really comfortable stay, we were lucky enough to get upgraded for our 2 night stay which meant we could spread out and enjoy the extra space. Hotel was clean, comfortable and safe. Parking on site was limited and slightly complicated by the popular restaurants on site as customers park there. Overall good stay. "

"The State Hotel is in such a handy location in the middle of town. Off street parking is a must in the CBD and Joe's Garage underneath for a great breakfast. It has been restored beautifully with a modern touch on old world luxury. Luke was a great host both greeting on arrival and farewelling on departure. I would definitely stay again."

"My partner and I stayed in a Deluxe room. Very spacious and clean. The bed was a good ratio between soft and firm, lots of pillows making for a good nights sleep. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Also, the restaurant on site is amazing! "

"Room was nice and tidy, could do with a fan/air circulation in the bathroom. My boys enjoyed their swim while there. TV in the room should have been more in the middle maybe attached to the wall on a bracket. Not much to watch on TV due to not many channels to access. But overall very nice, comfortable and friendly staff."
