"Firstly, Greg was excellent at responding to any inquiries we had prior to our arrival. Wasn’t surprising because he was an excellent host when we arrived! This cute B&B must be on your travel itinerary! Not only was the town absolutely charming but this property was clean, convenient, and beautiful! Greg was always around for any questions or concerns and even dinner recommendations! Sue cooked us up an excellent breakfast, we ordered the night before. A minor inconvenience would be that it was hard to roll our suitcases through the gravel to get to the front door. We loved this property! "
"Room was clean & spacious & excellent view from my room. Plenty of tea & coffee etc & shortbread.. Pet friendly which is great. They even cooked a sausage for my dog & made a fuss of her. Was only staying one night on route, would have liked to stay longer. Staff excellent& so friendly. The drinks at the bar area are reasonable price. Only 4 mins or so walk from the train station. Wod defo stay here again. So peaceful& the back garden area has lovely views. "
"Loved this place. It’s like staying on a 21st century titanic but with out the fuss of icebergs and sinking. The view from our room was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were fantastic. We loved the little museum a fascinating insight into the history of the hotel.
Special mention to the staff behind the Stags head bar (x2 Australian lasses and 1 super happy lass from a Balkan country ❤️"
