Acadia Ocean View Hotel

"Makes a nice base for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Room was recently refreshed with a coat of paint and nautical decals and new curtains. New floor treatment is nice with a rug in the center of the room. Bathroom got a refresh as well new fixtures and flooring. The continental breakfast was just adequate. Kind of a strange set up just off the lobby. 10 am checkout should be bumped to 11am. We did not utilize the pool but it seemed ok."

"This house exceeded our expectations in every way. The host, Eric was communicative and attentive. The house was stocked and immaculate. The view was one of a kind and the backyard had our 6 and 10 year old busy for hours. The host left games and things to play with. There is also swings and a little tree house. We enjoyed how it felt like a home with paintings and antiques. The primary suite upstairs was updated and had an even more spectacular view. The beach is nearby to find shells and explore. We will definitely return."
Hinckleys Dreamwood Cottages

"I rented a one bedroom place. It had a very homey feel to it. If you wanted to, you could close the bedroom off with the French doors. The nightstand came equipped with a lamp you could use for charging you phone. If someone was using the bathroom, you can use the sink, countertop and mirror right outside the bathroom, you just have to be careful with the tv right outside the bathroom. It has a full kitchen and small porch. There’s a gas fire pit not too far from the office. It’s about 10 minutes from Acadia National Park’s Hulls Cove entrance and also near the main part of town. Unfortunately I have some complaints. The ceiling fan light didn’t work and we were told they couldn’t fix it right away. The edges of the carpet under the coffee table was folded up a little and could be a tripping hazard. The light switches should be labeled, there were a couple that we couldn’t make sense of. We were told someone would come to straighten up the place everyday and no one came. The garbage pail was overflowing. I tried for a few weeks to get in touch with the manager. I left a message a few times with the office, nobody got back to me. I then was told to email them and they still didn’t get back to me, so I called again, and still no one got back to me. It’s very unprofessional. Hopefully after they see my review, they’ll get back to me."

"The location was close to everywhere we wanted to go and still far enough from the huge crowds to be very pleasant. The room was a little dated as the online pictures showed but everything inside and outside was well maintained and very clean. The staff is great, helpful and friendly! We enjoyed our three night stay!"

"Clean room, bed was actually comfortable which is unusual when I stay out for business trips. Pool was great at night. Only complaint was wifi was horrible in my room. Wouldnt even run tv apps. But I was the last room so maybe it was better closer to the office."
