Second time staying in this beautiful cabin, and it was absolutely perfect! I saw some poor reviews that don’t add up…if you’re looking for a beautiful cabin in a great location then look no further!
Great cabin.big car parking space we love it.cabin definitely need some love. If you’re a picky person this place is not for you.overall we had a good experience at this nice place.
Our family had a delightful time here. This A-frame cottage is near other homes but almost no one else was around during our stay in February. It was very peaceful.
I loved sitting on the back deck looking at the trees and wildlife (birds, squirrels, owls, once a bobcat) in the yards between the houses. There are scenic views of the mountains both to the south and north. We also loved to soak in the sun and views sitting near the expansive front slider doors and windows.
The home is overall well-appointed although the owners left some of their clothing items which I suppose they are willing to share (?) but also takes up storage space for guests. The property manager Chris was courteous and very easy to reach.
Overall we had plenty of space and loved the wood-lined interior and cozy atmosphere. Definitely looking forward to escape here again soon!
Beautiful A framed cabin.. Our family enjoyed the stay. I would definitely recommend this house for you next rental. The house host Chris was amazing. Thank you again for allowing us to use your house.
Great spot for a little getaway. Ample space in living room and basement. Although basement floor was very uneven/warped. But had 3 gaming tables set up for the whole weekend!Light sleepers be aware, lots of sound from rooms above from the floors.Very small restroom in the master bedroom. We all mostly used the main restroom for showers. Some of the bowls and pots should be replaced (chipped bowls, some pans with deep scratches on cooking surface). But we managed. Suggest brining paper plates/bowls as there is no dishwasher.
Overall nice cabin with lots of supplies. We had a lot of trouble with the heating system and it was freezing when we got there. We reached out to the property manager who was very helpful and walked us through trouble shooting the system. Once we got it working things warmed up but a fuse kept blowing so we had to reset the system every couple of hours when we noticed it was getting cold again. Beautiful area and convenient location.
We got in after it was dark the first day, so didn't notice the piles of rat poop all over the house (including all the kitchen areas). Next day found the rat poop, contacted host. Spent the rest of the day trying to get into another place. After all this, only received a partial refund and had to book a new place that cost more. Disappointing. I'd avoid this place and VRBO in general.
Highly recommend getting this place. Much bigger in person. The rooms were perfect size for my family. I recommend bringing some essentials: toiletries (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, towels), your own firewood, lighter fluid, batteries, blankets & some heaters. Most of those things are provided or left over, but it’s nice to have your own. The owner was very nice and quick to respond. It ended up snowing when we went and it was a blast! The driveway fits about 5-6 cars. The BBQ outside works great, used it 3 out of the 4 nights. The trash drop of center is very close by, make sure not to leave trash outside because we saw some raccoons in the area. If you have kids, it’s nice place to rent out because the downstairs area has a lot of video game consoles. I wasn’t able to figure out how to use the pellet stove on the lower level, but the heaters I brought made up for it. There are 3 electrical heaters located in the house, 1 fire burning stove and 1 pellet burning stove. The house will definitely be warm enough for everyone to enjoy. The only negative thing was the fuse kept jumping with minimal things pulled in. It wasn’t really a concern for us, we just went to the fuse box and flipped the switch. Overall, I’d definitely consider staying here again with family and/or friends! Definitely give this place a chance, you’ll love it! Beautiful house and great community!
We had a fantastic time staying at this cabin. It accommodated our party of 4 adults and 2 kids well. We have a 18 month old and I appreciate the baby gates that were provided for the staircases (one going upstairs and one going down). The only minor issue was that when we checked in the water and gas were shut off. I called Chris and he promptly answered, apologized and directed us where to turn on the water/gas. We all had a fantastic time and would love to stay again in the future.
The cabin exterior looks even better than the photos. Check in was easy and Chris provided ample information to leave us well prepared for arrival. The cabin looks great on the inside and was much bigger than expected with three floors to explore. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make all of our meals for 3 days. The heating system was lit before we arrived - which was appreciated - but it did take until the next morning before the whole house felt comfortably warm during winter. However, things stayed plenty warm for the remainder of the trip. There were some issues with the internet part of the time, but we had a 2 yr old and plenty of puzzles to keep us busy. The local bakery in town was great and the staff at the local general store were very helpful. We were very happy with our experience.
It’s a great place to stay. Only drawback was Air conditioning not working and it was so hot during the summer. It will be a great place to visit during winter.
This was an awesome stay. The place was great as expected and neighborhood very quiet. For first time being in PMC, this was a great spot to stay in. Closest hike path was a mile away (at most). I would definitely recommend people to stay here!
What a beautiful place! It is a cozy yet spacious cabin in a great location. Chris was very helpful and quick to respond. We stay in Pine Mountain Club a few times a year and this was the best experience we’ve had!
Loved this cabin! Clean, warm, relaxing. Bigger in person compared to pictures on the web. Equipped with many necessities and snow sleds for the kids. It sleeps 10 people. Craftsman ship is amazing. Outdoors was perfect and safe for younger kids to enjoy. Plenty of parking space for our cars. Lots of trail hikes for all ages. For sure we want to return in the spring time. We will be referring this cabin to our friends and family. Thanks Chris, owner, for sharing your wonderful cabin.
Was a great place. Very clean and well kept house. Perfect for families.
One downside was that the heating. It was a pellet stove, that required refilling almost every hour.
