Snuggle by the River Meadow Cabin- kayaks, dogs ok

8/10 Good
"The property was very similar to the photos, with a short walk to the river access. We had been concerned that the cabin would be smaller than expected for four adults, but it was very spacious and generally comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and cooking essentials, but there was no coffee. The only issue was that the bunk beds were uncomfortable and very, very squeaky. Any slight movement caused a squeak, and it was so hard to sleep that one person moved to the couch. We would love to visit again, but unfortunately the bed situation is a deal breaker."

The Trail Inn - Grantsburg

The Trail Inn - Grantsburg

8/10 Good
"We’ve stayed here for years and it’s always been convenient, comfortable and friendly. Apparently the former owner sold, and now the room check in is all done virtually, which we’ve not had to deal with before. It was a surprise at check in to have no front desk, and nobody on site to assist. We had to initiate a zoom like call for help getting keys. The remote agent was helpful and we got keys, and it worked ok. She was in Canada. I’d rather deal with a local, on site manager and have some personal interaction. It worked. Hotel was clean, newly painted, comfortable."

Serene Dog-friendly Riverfront Cabin with Kayaks in Pine City - Perfect Getaway

Serene Dog-friendly Riverfront Cabin with Kayaks in Pine City - Perfect Getaway

10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful, 3-night stay. The property is great. The open floor plan (kitchen - living area) plus a fantastic screened-in porch gave plenty of comfortable, flexible-use space for the four adults and two kids in our group. There is comfortable furniture throughout. The bunk room is spacious so the beds do not feel crowded in, and the queen bedroom was good for a couple. The bathroom was clean and modern with a big, nicely-tiled shower. Very dog-friendly, as advertised, with thoughtful touches like a leash line in the yard, dog beds, feeding bowls, etc. The place quickly felt like home. The yard was large and overlooked the river (as does the screened in porch). A fire pit, hammock, and tables/chairs were available for use. Plenty of room for lawn games and hanging out. The kayaks and canoe were great. As listing notes, river entry and boat put-in are made using dock steps (yard is elevated from the shoreline). We saw a red-tailed hawk, green herons, blue herons, cedar waxwings, a hummingbird, and other bird friends. Fished Snake River and also went over and shore fished the St, Croix, both fun. Finally, the owner was simply fantastic. Clear, timely, and helpful communication. And a kind person. We had a problem entirely of our own making during the stay, and the owner could not have been more responsive and gracious, with a genuine focus at all times on making sure we had a great stay. We give this property our highest recommendation."

Stunning lakeside cabin-100 ft of private, stair-free shoreline-3,000 acre lake

10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was beautiful inside and the attention to detail was wonderful. Almost everything you need was provided. I wish we had known that they had so many things like corn boards, tricycles for the kids, kennel for dog, etc. so we wouldn’t have hauled them up. Check out was very easy. Great firepit. Host was great to work with. My negative was poor mattresses. Maybe put foam on top or something. Maybe add umbrella to deck table but Otherwise, we had a great experience and would definitely return. ."
