Hotel absolutely filthy. Room not cleaned. Corridor full of old dirty bedding. Area full of sex shops and brothels. Street full of drunks, drug addicts, and homeless. Avoid at all costs. Didn't stay the night, as area unsafe.

Pillig is a very peaceful, extremely quiet and nice little lovely village with 400 people living there. We don’t know in which awful place you have been staying at, but it surely was not our Hotel Pastis in Pillig. We kindly ask to correct this review, otherwise we will see ourselves forced to take further steps here to clearly protect ourselves against this review!

This hotel is really basic. It is a room and a bathroom. No fridge, no fan/AC, and in our room there were no TV channels due to lack of signal. The (staffless) self-check in was a bit weird, but it worked ok since our phones had service there. We had hoped there would be a kitchen to use, but no. If you stay here, plan to bring your own pre-cooked food or drive 10 minutes to a town that has a restaurant. I don't think the listing was very clear about this. Also, it is street parking, and I could see that being full if the hotel is busy.

Great little hotel
Good little hotel. It is in a small town which is too small to have a store or cafe. You will need to go to the next town to buy food or find a place to eat. It woukd be nice to offer a basic breakfast for the guests, but again most visitors who stay there come by car and it is not a problem to get to the next town. Great value hotel for a sleepover. We stayed in hotel just to sleep and the rest of the day were exploring castles and other tourists places in the neighborhood.

i had an awful experience with the checkin process: waited 1.5 hrs in the middle of the night with no signal on my phone and a guy on the phone with no knowledge about how the emergency key works.

Nice clean stay. Literally never interacted with anyone. They have a lock box system for the key which may sound weird but it’s actually very easy to use. From this place, it’s only a short drive to Burg Eltz and the Mosel River. Price was excellent for 4 people.

Reasonably priced accommodation in little village
Booked for a one night stop over. Located very close to Eltz Castle in a cute little village. Room was nice. Could tell it was newly furnished by the smell. Bathroom needed more light, but other than that the room was very nice and more than enough for our needs. 24 hour check in with the key box was very quick and easy. If looking for a place for dinner there seemed to only been one place in that town, we drove to a town nearby. Breakfast was basic, but again more than adequate. Would recommend, especially for the price and value received.

Checking in was a little confusing. Needed a code. There was a phone number to call for assistance, since there was no one working at the time of checkin. Room was spacious, quiet, and clean. Breakfast box was great.

Our family stayed at the Hotel Pastis kust one night as we were traveling. We enjoyed the quaint hotel...not a lot of frills hut comfortable and fit well in our budget. We found a nice little cafe a few minutes walk away with great food. If we ever go back to Germany we eill dtay there again.

Great price! Perfect Eltz Castle accommodation
We were super confused by check-in, but that was probably due in large part to jetlag. We arrived after 5 pm, so check-in was done by ourselves via lockbox. After we figured it how to get inside we found a room that was comfortable and cozy. Price was obscenely low, and breakfast was above and beyond delicious. Not even 10 minutes from Eltz castle in a beautiful historic building. Absolutely recommended

The hotel was comfortable with a surprisingly large room by Europe standards. The only drawback is my room didn’t have very bright lighting. Beyond that it was a nice hotel.

Great for visiting Burg Eltz
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Clean and inexpensive accomodation. No check in desk in afternoon so if you have a problem.......... Luckily we didn't. No place to eat in village so come prepared with your own or venture to a restaurant 2 kms away which had lovely food. Second day, our room was not made up when we got back at 4pm. Offer was made by hotel to make it up but we couldn't see the point by that time. Breakfast was buffet and plentiful.

Good hotel for a night stop or as a base to travel
Simple cheap clean hotel with no frills. We just used it as a night stop on the way back to the ferry from Switzerland. Be warned the hotel doesn't do meals except breakfast and there is no bar. In fact, there are very few restaurants/bars in the village so be prepared to drive a little ways.

Nice hotel in a small village. It is only good to stay while travelling through as there are no attractions nearby. There is no staff at the hotel except at breakfast... nobody! Your key is in a mailbox and you let yourself in. Obviously to save on expenses.

What a wonderful place for such an affordable price! We stayed in a suite with the family. The room was huge, luminous, and very nicely decorated; the bathroom was also very large, with a jaccuzzi-type bathtub and a separate shower, and a large walking closet, all of this for about 46 euros per night!

Quaint Hotel
We stopped overnight at Pastis Hotel during our car trip in Germany. The hotel was located in one of these many quaint little villages that you pass through whilst driving through the countryside. It seems to have been newly furbished (or refurbished). The room was very clean and the bed most comfortable. FreeTea and coffee were provided from the bar/restaurant downstairs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and think that it was one of the better value for money hotel that we have stayed in in all our travels.
