"We would like to give a 6 star review to the staf and the food, amazing!
To the animal friends that are checking in;
If you pass the hotel, at the first corner on the right you will see two buckets, that’s for the cats that don’t have a home. So if you have time buy some food and fill up the water, thanks!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Relais. The hotel Is in the Heart of Umbria's Hills. From the hotel you can have a wonderful view of the green landscape. Our room was big enough for 2, with all the comforts. Everything was clean and new, the bed really comfortable. We used the spa and I need to mention Francesca for her service. Actually, at the Relais all the staff members were all.nice and kind with the guests."

We stayed at Todi as it was a good base to explore Umbria. Location was great for this purpose and the town centre only a 20 minute walk. Tuder provided comfortable accommodation with good service with the only negative being the size of our room which was quite small. However friends traveling with us did receive a more spacious room.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best area to stay in Piemonte?
The best areas to stay in Piemonte are the Langhe region for dedicated wine enthusiasts and Alba for those who want a central base with more amenities.
The Langhe is Piemonte's most renowned wine region, characterised by rolling hills covered in vineyards, hilltop villages, and panoramic views. Towns like Barolo and La Morra are at its heart, offering a truly immersive experience among the grapevines. This area is great for couples seeking a romantic getaway focused on wine tasting and fine dining. You'll find many boutique hotels and agriturismos (farm stays) located amongst the vineyards, often with exceptional restaurants attached.
Alba is a larger town located centrally within the Langhe. It's known as the "capital" of the white truffle and offers a broader range of hotels, shops, and restaurants compared to the smaller villages. Alba's historic centre is compact and walkable, with its main Piazza Risorgimento and Via Vittorio Emanuele II bustling with activity. This area is ideal for travellers who appreciate having more dining and shopping options readily available, while still being just a short drive from the vineyards of Barolo and Barbaresco.
For those prioritising convenience and a wider selection of facilities, Alba provides an excellent base.
When is the best time to go to Piemonte?
For a truly exceptional experience in Piemonte, the best time to visit is during the autumn months, specifically from September to November. This period perfectly aligns with the region's renowned truffle season and grape harvest.
Autumn provides a feast for the senses, with the countryside ablaze in warm colours and the air filled with the earthy aroma of white truffles. Food and wine enthusiasts will particularly appreciate this time, as local markets are brimming with fresh produce and wineries are busy with the "vendemmia" (grape harvest), offering unique tours and tastings.
While autumn is our top recommendation, late spring (May and June) also offers a delightful experience. The weather is pleasantly warm, and the landscape is lush and green, making it ideal for exploring the rolling hills and charming towns without the summer crowds.
