Comfortable, cozy, and quiet place not far from the University of Pennsylvania with a lovely backyard space. The host helped with all my questions and made my stay in Philadelphia a smooth one. Would definitely recommend!
This location is well kept and clean. Check-in process was clearly described and property seems secure with a bonus of motion sensor lighting for entry after dark. A small bar of soap and a washcloth added to the towels offered would go a long way, as would a small box of tissues. The rooms are also small but this is clearly indicated. The kitchen also would not work for someone looking to cook (stove not working, fridge hardly cools). There is a microwave though I didn't use it and the coffee maker (with coffee and filters provided) was much appreciated. I would stay again - this is near many destinations and more budget friendly than other options.

Overall, we were not pleased. The neighborhood was not ideal. We did not feel safe. The gate lock was not very secure, the deadbolt on the door did not line up and engage. The CO detector was mounted ABOVE the doorway, and the batteries were dead. I couldn't find a smoke detector in the place. The fridge was warm. We were not satisfied and ended up leaving after about 5 minutes there. I have reached out to the owner and was told that there was nothing wrong.
The unit clean but very small. The following items should be considered and or fixed:TVIron/steamerA body mirror Stable work stationSeating to eat Xtra supplies(ie: trash bags)Invest in a new refrigerator (did not keep water cold)Fix front door latch so that the lock catches Fix in unit laundry stationClean linen no stainsOther than that the host is responsive when you need something The unit is peaceful and in a good area.
The room and the bathroom were really clean and appropriate for what we paid for. The bathroom had good water pressure and temperature. The kitchen was minimally furnished. The stove was under maintenance and the refrigerator wasn't as cold as I expect a refrigerator to be. The only dining table appropriate for two was outside which we weren't able to use because of the colder temperature. As for check-in, we had a few issues getting in. The key was missing, so we weren't able to get in on our own. We quickly contacted the host who responded really quickly to our message (even considering our late arrival) and sent the property manager to open the door for us. Once with the property manager arrived, we had a few communication problems which might have been fuelled by the fact that English was not our first language. He also seemed really adamant on fixing the light fixture in the room regardless of the late hour. Once he understood we didn't mind the broken light fixture, he quickly left and we had no other problems after that.Regardless of the check-in issues we had, the place was in a walking distance to a lot of restaurants and public transport (bus, tramway, metro/subway station). It was really quick and easy to reach downtown Philly and surrounding activities. On the night of our arrival we had trouble finding parking on the street which we were warned about, but isn't a problem during the day.Overall, it was a nice place but the check-in issues kinda threw us off.
