This was one of the best experiences we have ever had with VRBO. The host, Isolde, was so sweet and kind by the time we left it felt like we were saying goodbye to family. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better place to rest but still right in the middle of so much to do in Philadelphia. PLUS having that parking spot is rare in the area! We will absolutely come back and stay again.

We loved the house and everything around it! The street we stayed on was actually part of the sightseeing tour! A whole lot of history around the area. I would recommend to anyone that loves history to stay in this house and also the owner was very nice and knowledgeable about the area.

A Perfect Stay

Everything about our experience was outstanding. The home is on a beautiful street near Washington Square, which is a great location to most everything. The host is warm and hospitable. Our space had a very comfortable bed and private bathroom. The included parking was a real plus and the deck was an extra bonus, allowing us to sit in the sun and relax during our busy weekend with family. Highly recommended!

Best stay I have ever had. Isolde is an absolute sweetheart who provides an oasis of peace in Philadelphia. Her home is immaculate and guests have the third floor to themselves. I hope to stay again!

Excellent place for two

Excellent place to drive in and stay! We parked the car in the gated lot and forgot all about it as we walked the streets of Philly. So conveniently located and within walking distance of everything we wanted. Very clean and gracious host.

Charming Stay

My friend and I loved our experience at Isolde’s. Historical exhibits are minutes away by foot. Convenient CVS and grocery store (ACME) on the way for drinks and snacks. Isolde provided a perfect continental breakfast to start the day. She also provided lovely conversation, recommendations and help with anything we needed. I want to go back to her place with my sister who lives in PA!

Private 3rd Floor

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful trip to the city of Philly, and the place we stayed may have been the best part! Isolde is a wonderful host! Understanding and accommodating, but most of all empathetic! She made our trip worth the stay. We will definitely be using Isolde's lovely home as much as possible when planning trips to the city!

Comfort and Hospitality

The bedroom and bath were nice. We really enjoyed having a rooftop balcony we could enjoy the evenings just relaxing. Isolde was a wonderful hostess. By the end of the two night stay we felt like we were good friends with her, her dog Jethro and her sister who was visiting. The downtown location was exactly what we wanted to experience. Staying in the heart of the city, being able to walk places for dining and tourism. Having secured parking allowed us to park and not worry about our vehicle. Isolde was the best. We would love to see her again.

Fantastic place with exceptional host.

I stayed 4 nights (wed to sun) and enjoyed the whole 3rd floor (bed, bath and patio). The owner was such a pleasure to talk to that it felt like I was staying with a good friend or family member. She provided a tasty, light breakfast to start each day (the jams are really good) and water in the room. This is a very high quality home in a safe location that puts you close to big attractions (liberty bell, independence hall, becuna, olympia, riverfront). She has done a wonderful job decorating the guest quarters. I appreciate someone that cares about how your stay is going. I was also very happy with the gated parking given I needed to leave valuables in my car. Didn't have to worry a bit about it. I absolutely would stay again and I hope to be back. It wasn't far from the river front in case you want to run, walk or ride your bike. 5th street/independence metro station is half a mile away- easy walk.

Wonderful and very sweet host. Loved talking with Isolde and her sister and hearing their stories about moving to Philadelphia from Germany. Great location! Very safe and close to many places we wanted to visit! Everything was easy and house was very clean and decorated very eclectically. Loved our time there! Will be back for sure!
