Awestruck as we pulled into the winding driveway, surrounded by beautiful land, trees and a pond . It was snowing and Gordon! Babbling creek wound through the property and the Cowboy Cabin was deliightful with its fireplace, hot tub etc.
Beautiful setting. Perfect spot for catching up with friends…..wine….bonfire….and only about 50 minutes from Blacksburg.

family weekend
We stayed in the Cowboy Cabin and it was devine. There was plenty of space to sleep with 10 of us there. The beds and linens were so comfortable that getting up in the morning was difficult! Our weather wasn't great for the weekend, but the home allowed all of us to be inside and play games without stepping on each other. The area around the cabin was perfect with the picnic tables, stream, fire pit, and grill. The owners and grounds keeper were very accommodating. I definitly reccomend this rental and will hope to come back again next year.
My husband and I were looking for a place in Nature so that we could disconnect from our busy lives-our goal was to get off our phones and get in Nature! Well this was the perfect place to do just that and more. Our cabin was right next to the creek and it was the perfect place to relax with coffee or a cocktail. There is wonderful hiking on the property and in nearby towns. We hiked to Cascade Falls which was a real treat-about 20 minutes away! We were there off season so there were no guests near us but I can imagine this as a great place to bring your family for fun and relaxation! We want to do just that! Thanks again for a wonderful place to retreat!

Amazing anniversary get-a-way
We had the most amazing anniversary weekend at the Four Fillies Lodge. We stayed in the Boathouse and the pictures did not disappoint. It was beautifully decorated and immaculately maintained. The cabin and the property in general are even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. There was firewood waiting for us on the porch, K-cups for the Keurig machine, and coffee creamer as well.
We enjoyed hiking around the property - the stream can be heard bubbling away as soon as you open the door. One night was exceptionally clear and we did some outstanding stargazing. We drove about 45 minutes into Blacksburg, VA for our anniversary dinner at the Black Hen Restaurant - it was perfect for a special occasion.
Thank you for helping to makeour anniversary so special!
We stayed for the weekend of my son’s Virginia Tech graduation. The location was perfect - 40 min away from VT. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed fishing, hiking, and cornhole. KC Catering catered our celebration meal and helped make the weekend even more relaxing. Couldn’t speak more highly of the property and cabin. Great place!!
We loved this beautiful property!! I especially liked the extra touches like hand forged utensils. Out family had a great time and I hope we can return again with additional family.
This property was beautiful and clean and everything it comes across as being. The owners are very responsive. Our stay was wonderful and I hope to be back.
Wonderful creek side cabins and beautiful property
We had an absolutely amazing time here. It is so peaceful and a good way to connect with friends and family and getaway for a little bit. The owners spared no expense at creating these beautiful cabins. We stayed at the cowboy cabin and really enjoyed ourselves. Hiking and fishing and cooking!! We enjoyed a fire outside and all while listening to the creek run! This is a great place to stay. Very helpful and clean.
We just stayed at the cabin this past weekend. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. LOVED it! We will visit again for sure.

Completely beyond our expectations!!
This property is one of multiple units that are dispersed throughout a 78 acre property. The house is perfect in every sense of the word with a strongly flowing stream that feeds into the New River. The interior was cleaner than clean with the interior decorated perfectly to match the name of the "Cowboy Cabin". The perfect getaway, or perfect wedding location. We can't say enough good things about the property and the owner. I am a hotel snob and can say with certainty that I will be back.

Well taken care of. Thoughtfully appointed.
Very clean, thoughtfully set up with Coffee canisters for the Keurig, an abundance of towels, firewood and comfortable beds! This location is good for not being on the internet since cellular isn’t strong and there didn’t appear to be WiFi. There were plenty of extra blankets, great hot shower, and other little amenities that made it perfect.

Amazing weekend!
We visited Peterstown WV for a family Reunion. We searched online for something unique and found the cabin. We were the only people there in the property. Our Aunt and Uncle stayed in the cabin next door for one night. We barely saw them.
Our boys loved hiking and "hunting" treasure.
I relaxed and read a book. We sat by a campfire and roasted s'mores. We had many laughs.
We enjoyed the rain. We enjoyed the sound of the crick.
We saw deer, groundhogs, rabbits and many birds.
The cabin's decor was perfect! Rustic cowboy!
There was more than enough room for our family of 6(2 adults 4 children of all ages)
Thank you for an amazing weekend! We hope to come back some day!
