We really enjoyed our stay and found the location great for a mix of hiking locations, being able to work remotely as needed, and loved being able to cook dinners. The inside was really cute and we loved the architectural touches.
We had a great stay. Everything was exactly as described. The place was perfect for us to relax. The road noise was pretty loud at times, but we have probably just gotten used to our quiet country road at home. This was a fantastic find and we will be back next time our travels bring us this way. Thanks for a great stay!
Very nice. Clean , middle of town so walkable to restaurants, Near busy intersection so a bit noisey.Host was very proactive and easy to communicate with.
The outside looks nice but the inside is beautifully done. Definitely an antique decor but very nicely currated and well done with style and comfort. The living/sitting room is nice and spaceous with a recliner and comfortable chair and a nice sized couch. Antique furnishings around the space. Great kitchen with awesome anitique sink. Nice sized bedrooms and well done bathroom to share. Would definitely recommend this place for Your next stay. Only downsides of the stay is the noise from the street and passing vehicles and the half wide open windows that arent covered with blinds in the living area.

We thoroughtly enjoyed our stay! We were attending a wedding nearby, and I needed a place to finsh up the wedding cake i was asked to make. This property was ideal.
The rooms were amply sized, the kitchen was spacious and well appointed. The smart TV was ready to log into. The water got nice and hot, and the open bathroom vanity area made getting ready easy for 4 people.
We didn't consider the washer/dryer in our choice of the property, but when we had a clothing emergency it was a blessing.
The property is an excellent balance of historic charm with modern convenience. Its located just a block or two from the busier center of town, so its quiet, but also close by. The diner across the block was great for breakfast. The parking across the street was also very convenient. I was slightly concerned that it is listed as a "second floor" property, based on our needs, but that was really not an issue. Its only a few very wide and accesible steps, and that was no problem at all.
My only caution would be, we arrived later than planned and it was dark. Google maps doesnt accurately show the entrance, so we were slightly confused where it go in the dark. So, I'd suggest arriving earlier than we did, having a better sense of direction then we do, or let them know in case they might leave the outside light on for you.
Also, communication from the host was top notch.
Its a lovely property, and you will enjoy your stay!
We loved everything! The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The Mexican restaurant for dinner. The diner for breakfast and the park for the event we were in town for.

With modern addmenities. I loved the old history of the building, and absolutely adored the modernation the property manager had here. It was perfect for what we needed.
We needed a place to stay for my Grandma/Nanies funeral. We saw your place and realized it was just a few blocks from my grandmothers home. It was perfect inside and so very nicely decorated. Recommend this property 100%
It's a quaint apartment that is fixed up nicely close to the center of town, so it's great if you want to walk to different shops.
There's a short flight of stairs up to a landing and the front door; parking is just across the street. The bathroom can be accessed from both bedrooms. Host responded promptly with questions etc.
The home was beautiful, Michelle was very helpful, and we enjoyed our stay! The location is something to consider if you have littles because with the house being on the main road, vehicles were pretty loud early in the morning and late night. Made it a tad difficult to keep our 1.5 year old asleep. But otherwise, we had a great experience!
Little mix up in timing but the caretaker for the property was very forthcoming and helpfulProperty matches description and is actually better than the pictures show it. A/C Struggled a little keeping up with the heat, but that was most likely due to the prior user not following instructions and turning it off when they left. Not sure if it was Saturday night excitement, but given the proximity to the main intersection in Petersburg, but there was a significant amount of noise from fire/ambulance that eveningWould definitely book again

climate was ok but not great it has window AC's that are loud and every room has a fan since house doesn't use HVAC. there was an issue with the toilet running however it was not an issue for us was easy to not let run however the contact person insisted that a Maintenace guy come that night to fix it at 7PM i told them that i would prefer they fix it the next day but they told me sorry but owner insist tonight i told him fine but its a broken handle and gave him make and model of toliet so the maintenance can bring the right part in be done in 10 mins since my dautgher and i just got in from hiking and camping on a moutain and wanted to relax. repair guy showed up right on time and came in with nothing in his hand. i said so did you get the new handle and he knew nothing about it since i guess my contact did not relay the information so i let him look at it and he said well nothing i can do tonight since all part stores are closed ill come tomorrow to fix it. this ordeal was not a huge deal just kind of lack of communication and as someone who rents many houses this interaction seemed slightly unprofessional. house was very clean and everything else worked as advertised
