Our family stayed at the property over Spring break. There was more than enough room for our group to be comfortable. The lake was fun for ice fishing as well. Lots of games to play in the evenings.
We had a wonderful stay at this property! Plenty of bedrooms (and bathrooms) to spread out in, and lots of space inside for dining, hanging out, etc. So close to Perham and great dining and shopping as well. Though late in the season we enjoyed the hot tub and a fresh dip in the lake in the evening as well!
The home was clean and stocked well.
Check in and out was smooth, communication with management was excellent. Home was like it looked in the pictures and we had a great time.
Had a fun girls weekend and this property was great. Gave everyone space and the common areas gave us time to relax and visit. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. Would come back to this property
My family enjoyed their stay at your VRBO. We had plenty of beds and plenty of room to spread out. The decor was cute. The furniture was comfortable and tasteful. We appreciated the two refrigerators and the spices in the pantry. The only concern that I had was the patio door in one of the master bedrooms (it opened, but no deck to step on).
We truly enjoyed our stay for girls weekend! The house was very clean and very nicely stocked. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The hot tub was amazing and we used it every night. The bed were very comfortable so that was a nice treat also. The only down side is that we were not able to get the fireplace to work and also the ceiling fan/light to work. We would definitely stay here again!!!!!
The lake is beautiful and the cabin has all the necessities. Great shore line place to play for the kids. The lake is clean with few weeds at the shore line. We swam a lot. The main cabin has a mini split AC which does a great job keeping the main room cool but the bedrooms got pretty stuffy and there weren't any fans. That would be my one word of advice - bring a fan. Otherwise, we were very happy with the whole place
Our family of 8 had a wonderful time at the cabin! We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor spaces. Hot tub, beach, dock, fire pit, all were great! Knocked one start off for a couple reasons..we showed up a little after 4pm and the cleaners were still there so we had to drive around for a while and eventually went to eat supper while waiting. Second reason was that they advertise a propane grill (which was there) but was really dirty, rusting apart, some inside pieces were even on the ground. We planned meals for the grill but went and bought a portable charcoal from the local fleet store. Overall we had the best quality family time and wouldn’t hesitate to go back!
Four generations stayed here for our yearly "up north" get together. Plenty of sleeping space. Two of the bedrooms upstairs do get hot. Take a fan along. The two master bedrooms are great! A nice touch was a basket of things you might have forgotten in each bathroom. Plenty of toilet paper which has been an issue at other properties for us. The extra refrigerator was very helpful. The hot tub was running, but we didn't use it as it was hot outside. There were plenty of chairs down by the water. The steps are a bit rough but there is a railing. We were glad we were allowed to use the garage as we parked our bikes in there. Overall it was a great place to stay and we had a great time.
There were some safety concerns we had with the steps going down to the lake. One person fell and skinned his knee. We liked the 2 master bedrooms upstairs. Some updating and modernizing of the carpets downstairs and steps would be nice. We really missed having a recycling bin. The floor in the kitchen area is warped. Wondering if some water got soaked under there. We did fill a large box in the garage with recycling but then ended up throwing recyclable items as we ran out of room. It would be nice to have some paddle boards. The hot tub was a bonus for us. We used it a lot! The convenience of using the washer and dryer and having two refrigerators was awesome. We enjoyed the campfire ring, tubing, and the fishing was good!
The great kitchen was fully stocked, with two refrigerators, two crock pots, both a traditional coffee pot and a Kurig! Nice double oven. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows and towels. They had a beautiful Christmas tree and other decorations for our celebration!! We had plenty of room for our family of 14. Unfortunately we could not get the fireplace to work and lights flickered. However we would stay there again! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!
Very nice property. Clean, well equipped with towels and kitchen utensils. Lake is very clean, the kids caught a lot of fish off the dock. Would definitely return!
There were 6 of us to celebrate my daughter getting her Bachelors of Science in Aeronautics from UND! The weather was rainy and cold during our stay. The lake ice bath was perfect and the hot tub and indoor facilities were Awesome!! Just what we needed to rest and revive after the Grad Ceremonies! Love the open space and it felt like home to us. Thankyou so much for sharing your lovely home!
We booked his house 2 months ago. We had 13 women. We thought the place worked well. Disappointed that there wasn’t chairs so we could all sit around the table. Kitchen well stocked, a lot of plate & silverware. One mattress sagged in the middle but all others were goid. Some beds
The home was very satisfactory, The lake was not as nice as It used to be. There were a lot of weeds where we wanted to walk in and swim, so we had to go out on the pontoon to go swimmng in the deep water.
We take a yearly fishing trip with Ottertail county being our favorite area. We tried Paul laken retreat because it offered two king suites but also interested in the additional space for traveling with family on other occasions. The house was as described. We added a couple of fans to push air to the suites as it was unusually warm for early June! The neighbors were great as well. We all agreed we would come back.
We love it here at Perham and had a great time. I had to just give 4 stars though because my husband did not feel safe in any of the showers as there was nothing to hang on to. He has back problems and is a fall risk. Also we had to use the downstairs bedroom and the bed is very high with no headboard for support. This is our second year here but may have to look elsewhere next year. I feel bad because we love the lake and the bike path and the turtle races! If you decide to make the house more handicapped accessible please let us know!
A perfect location and a lovely lake. The decor is a dated, but that doesn’t bother us - fits the ambiance of being at the lake. We loved the quiet mornings and the beautiful sunsets.
Sleeping accommodations were perfect for us (2 masters, bunk room and a downstairs bedroom) and the house has great space for relaxation and games. We didn’t use the kitchen (except to make coffee) but it looks well stocked. They provided coffee for the coffee maker and k-pods.
We met the cleaning staff upon arrival. They were friendly and did a great job.
