The hotel is beautiful and extremely well maintained and clean. Views from the room are great looking right at the bay and Mt Agung. Food is very good also especially the satay. The tough part about the hotel is the road to get there along with many of the roads in Penida. There is dirt path to walk into town and it only takes 4-5 minutes.

Bottom line is we enjoyed this hotel very muc! The room (A03) was cottage style and had a very old fashioned feel. The view from our room was a view of the harbour and Mount Angung. We could see the mountain top with the clouds below it and it was amazing. The shower handle was broken and the button to change from overhead shower to hand held was sticky. Aside from that the room was great! The pool was a 18 inches deep at the shallow end and about 1.2 meters at the deep end. There was plenty of sun for most of the beach chairs and seats in the pool for the poolside bar. The restaurant was joined and directly behind the pool chairs giving us the ability to transition from meal to relaxation at our leisure. The sunset can be seen from the edge of the pool but it is not a direct view. There is a dock at the hotel so if you plan to snorkel (which is why you go to Nusa Penida) then just let the snorkeling company know and they will pick you up and drop you off there. If you are a stay at the hotel resort type then this is a great place for you. If you want to go and the rest of the island it may be inconvenient. You can walk from the beach and town up to the resort but it is a kilometer walk and rough terrain. The drive is not a straight route and is difficult terrain but taxis go there for between IDR 150-250k. Lastly, there are a lot of stairs (a lot) This is not for walking disabled or those with health issues. Loud speaker was constantly blaring prayer music.

It has a great view of the ocean and the place is well maintained for a secluded location at the the top of the hills. Would definitely need a taxi or a ride to get there as the road were quite rough.

Beautiful views

This hotel was great I can see why it’s highly rated. I do feel like it is a bit highly priced in comparison to some of the other resorts we stayed in that were equal or better overall and a bit cheaper. We really did enjoy our stay here the staff and service were all great.

My experience at this hotel was fantastic. The service was excellent—very helpful and professional throughout our stay. They even assisted us last minute with our travel plans, which was greatly appreciated. The room was clean and spacious, and we enjoyed the good quality food offered. It’s probably the best place to stay at Nusa Penida. The staff was amazing and everything was so clean. They have an amazing crusty chicken sandwich. If you stay here you should try it. When you book your room and they are doing construction they will give you a free up grade i was very happy with our stay here. Will definitely stay here again.

You cannot beat the view of Sea la Vie in Nusa Penida! A beautiful infinity pool where you can see the harbor and sunset. Small swim up bar for convenience and a very kind staff! Our room was clean and so nice with a great little balcony. Be prepared for LOTS OF STAIRS. Air conditioning was legit.

We booked the ocean view villa, but upon our arrival at the resort, they offered us a free upgrade to their private pool villa. This villa was beautiful! The design is very modern and it was extremely clean. All of the staff were very nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend!

The hotel was very luxurious and had the most incredible view over the harbour and Mount Agung in the distance. Sitting by the infinity pool was absolutely stunning. This was by far the nicest hotel we saw in the area. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and catered to all our needs. The hotel is very much off the beaten track but not really any worse than other roads on Nusa Penida. The hotel was very much worth the drive over and drivers were happy to pick us up/take us there. There was also a short cut down a steep hill to walk into the main area which takes about 20 minutes.

Our hotel room was superb, location from hotel has beautiful views of the beach. The pool and pool bar is great to buy drinks. Nice beach club vibe, very chill music and a place to relax and recuperate. We did not really like the menu, found it limiting. You need some type of transport to get around anywhere, such as shops. Short access to nearby restaurants/shops is off track and involves some climbing. Fair amount of fitness required.
