"We had to leave without staying. Their promo said wheelchair accessible parking so we thought that meant that handicapped people could stay there. When we got there we were told our room was on an upper floor with no elevator. They told us there were no rooms to match our expectations but we were offered a first floor room in an annex which was a very long walk across uneven floors and not the same view or accommodations as we had paid for. They admitted the potential room was inferior to the one we paid for. On the way to check out the room we had to pass through long musty walkways. My wife almost immediately had breathing difficulties due to the musty air. It was immediately obvious that we could not stay. We notified front desk and asked for a refund due to the multiple disappointments and health issue. We have not heard from them since."

"Room was clean and spacious. Amenities were excellent. Being a Tesla Supercharger location helped a lot in booking this reservation. Also breakfast was quite good with local quality products."

"I enjoyed the most how true the place is to its history. You will, for example, not get bathrooms like this elsewhere today. And it works perfectly. So: welcome to another time and another place!"

"Great stay! Wonderful staff- kind and helpful. Loved the restaurant- delicious food and attentive staff. Room was quiet and clean. Walking distance from the city's namesake. If you have a need to be in Castelo Branco, I highly recommend. "

"Didn’t start well when receptionist insisted I had prepaid and need to pay again. Still took several minutes after giving them a printed copy of my reservation. When they realised it was their error they were very apologetic but it was still awkward particularly with a big queue building up behind me. Pool facilities great. Bar lovely and bar staff take huge pride, rightly, in their cocktails but service was so slow. An hour to get a beer ordered when sat down for food. Often 20 mins directly at the bar. Tip…order 2 drinks each."
