Country Home Retreat Relaxation

A lovely welcome awaited us at this place and the hosts couldn't be more helpful, even offering to pick us up after dinner at a local restaurant! Loads of positives: super clean room, a huge comfy bed, great location with nearby walks, lake views, little beach and lots of space to chill out. Lots of personal touches like biscuits and sweets to make the place feel very special.

The property and staff were excellent. We particularly liked the access to the lake and the free use of either canoes, paddleboards or kayaks. The breakfast was a real treat.

Unterkunft mit Seeblick

Eine traumhafte Unterkunft mit perfekter Lage direkt am See. Es besteht die Möglichkeit Kanus und Fahrräder auszuleihen oder einfach nur im Pool zu entspannen. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll dekoriert und das Frühstück wird in zwei Gängen serviert. Ein perfekter Stopp vor oder nach einem Wandertag in Algonquin Nationalpark.

Die J.R. Rooney Suite ist einzigartig, hat insgesamt mehr als 100 qm, mit Whirlpool im Wohnzimmer, toller Balkon mit Seeblick (Sonnenuntergang ...), schöner großzügiger Garten der zum Verweilen einlädt, schnuckelige Cottages direkt am See ... nein, es gibt kein Frühstücksbuffet, denn es wird alles frisch zubereitet und serviert, einige gute Restaurants (z.B. Sands) in Gehweite, kostenlose Kanu- und Fahrradbenutzung ... Desmond gibt sehr gute Tipps, um die Umgebung zu erkunden, kostenloses Ticket für den Algonquin Park und und und ... alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert

Pure luxury

We had the Romantic Suite and it was amazing. It was large, beautifully furnished with lots of lovely touches. I have never had a huge bathroom with a balcony before. The whole house is lovely and they gave us an excellent breakfast too. Great view over Golden Lake.

Schon der Empfang durch Desmond war sehr nett. Das Zimmer sehr sauber und ruhig mit Aussicht auf den sehr gepflegten Garten. Überhaupt war das gesamte Anwesen sehr gepflegt. Kostenlos Kaffee, selbst gebackene Kekse, Kanus, Kajaks, SUPs und Pool, auch am Abreisetag! Hat man schon ausgecheckt, gibt es ein Badezimmer mit Dusche im EG zur Benutzung, so kann man den See nochmal ausgiebig nutzen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls selbst gemacht und sehr lecker. Die Gäste am Nebentisch hatten einige Extrawünsche, die alle erfüllt wurden. Wir erhielten sogar ein kleines Abschiedsgeschenk.

Unexpected!

When we booked we were not aware that it was a B & B and as much as we have travelled this was our first such experience. Our second floor room was better than a guest bedroom in a home. Except, no T.V, you had to go to their main floor lounge. The scenery overlooked Golden Lake, a very tranquil, peaceful lake to view. Breakfast was included and you accepted what they served and it was different, very well presented and tasty. Staff were helpful and very courteous. They do have cabins on the water, but all had been booked. Overall an excellent experience.

Great B and B on the Lake

Very friendly staff... excellent and lively room, home...that included a homemade breakfast. Very pleasant setting. Located on Golden Lake so was able to go for an evening canoe ride. Simply beautiful.

Nicest B&B we ever stayed in

This B & B is absolutely lovely. Our spacious room had a view of the lake. The whole house was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable.

One of the best stays ever!

One of the best stays ever! We felt like royals in the romantic Rooney Suite with a wonderful view over the lake. It was such a pity we could only stay for 1 night as we would have loved to stay longer. Great hospitality and food. Don't hesitate but just go visit Greystone on Golden Lake. Best vacation in Ontario

It was our best vacation in Ontario. The hotel is very stylish, staff is very polite and trying to do everything to make the stay comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicacy. Most of vegetables from their garden. Our suite was big and decorated with a good taste. We will come back for sure.

no tv in the room,water was not replenished in the common fridge,take shoes off at the bottom of the stairs,no choices for breakfast,beach was taken over by the cabin rentals. Its all little things but they become annoying.
