"The owner is very personable and helpful. We stayed in the separate lodging on the property, not in the house. We had a very spacious upstairs room. Note, the breakfast is not included for stays in the separate building. Highly recommended ."

"We enjoyed staying at the Black Forest Cabins. It was close to everything, and walkable to the waterfront. We stayed 2 nights, so we could also visit Lunenburg, and drive right back. Great restaurants close by, and we also took advantage of the walking trails nearby. Beautiful location in the forest with deer nearby. Thank you!"

"What can I say, we were EXTREMELY late because of the CAT and the host was very kind and gracious by waiting for us to arrive after hours. It meant a lot since we had been traveling all day and the thought of sleeping in our car wasn’t something I wanted."

"The host was terrific at communication with us. The location was beautiful and very quiet & peaceful. Views were amazing! There were a couple of candy wrappers on the living room floor and the dining room table was very dusty. The patio could have used a sweep as well. Nothing too major, but should be noted, especially at this price point. My biggest complaint was the bed. The bedroom is beautifully decorated and the bed looked amazing. However, Im 5' tall and the bed is extremely high! I was unable to get into it, and spent the night sleeping on the couch. If I was younger and without mobility issues, it mightve been manageable. This is the first time in my 60+ years that I couldn't get into a bed ..... and I've traveled a lot. Very disappointed."

"The Dordean Suites was above and beyond our expectations. Of all the places we stayed in on our road trip through Nova Scotia this was by far the most reasonable in terms of price and experience In addition to being beautiful, clean it offered so many unexpected amenities - a private hot tub, barbecue AND fire table for each unit and a welcome basket with delicious snacks. Each unit was bright, clean and spacious eith AC and heat. We had the privilege of meeting the owners Renena and Sean as well as their daughter McKenzie, who was the inspiration behind the project. The suite was e fully accessible and is staffed by individuals with special needs who get on the job training and experience. What an amazing family and what an amazing place."
