Well, my three kids and I had the unfortunate luck of visiting Paris during the recent unseasonably hot weather and this apartment has no air conditioning. We did the best we could with the provided fans and open windows (no screens) but it was so hot every day that it was very hard to cool down the space. Our only other issue was the owner making an incorrect assumption about whether we were going to use the sleeper sofa, so the linens for that bed were not available the first night. Otherwise, the owner was very responsive, the apartment is two blocks from the Metro, there's a grocery store next to the building, there are many restaurants/bakeries within walking distance, and you can walk to the Catacombs. The area isn't as visually appealing as some other neighborhoods, but it also wasn't touristy at all and we never felt unsafe.
