Come and visit the commune of Chennevières-sur-Marne (94), situated on a loop of the Marne, and enjoy the nature on the banks of the Marne or in the Plaine des Bordes park on the heights of the town.



Discover the gentle way of life in Chennevières-sur-Marne... The town runs along one of the loops of the Marne and then extends to the heights to reach the Plaine des Bordes park. You can thus enjoy a green and natural setting only a few minutes from Paris (30min).



To begin with, take advantage of the banks of the Marne for your walks with family or friends. From the RER A station at La Varenne - Chennevières, you can walk along the banks of the Marne in the hollow of the loop in complete tranquillity. By bike or on foot, the banks of the Marne offer you the perfect escape.



At the top of the commune, you will find the Plaine des Bordes park and its 50 hectares of greenery, shared with two other neighbouring towns.



The park, classified as a sensitive natural area since 2015, ensures that you will find an air of countryside in the middle of the city. Equipped with numerous playgrounds for children and a mini-golf course, the Plaine des Bordes is an ideal idea for a family outing.



With squirrels, birds, donkeys and even frogs in the pond, young and old alike can enjoy the rich and varied wildlife of the park.

The park also has allotments, apiaries and picnic areas for families.



Here, the donkeys are like in the countryside, far from the noise of the city. This is an opportunity to discover the famous donkey milk, with its unique moisturising properties, produced on the organic farm. It is then used to make a whole range of organic donkey milk cosmetics.



The town of Chennevières-sur-Marne has been closely linked to vine growing for many years. Indeed, in the last century, hundreds of vines overlooked the town and the Marne from the hillsides.



Turn your attention to the history of this commune by visiting the Saint-Pierre de Chennevières church. The church of Saint-Pierre, with its Champagne style, characteristic of the churches of Ile-de-France, was built in the 13th century.

After its nave collapsed, the church was renovated in the 19th century by the architect Demanet. You can also see its western façade, dating from the renovation.



And what about watching the Marne and the surrounding area from a catalan? This is what the association Au Fil de l'Eau offers.

Starting from the Chennevières bridge, take a cruise on board these small typical river catamarans and discover the fauna and flora of the Marne loops.



Several sporting disciplines are also available in Chennevières-sur-Marne, including archery.

Go to the regional archery technical and sports centre! In this centre, one of the largest in the world, you can enjoy the indoor archery hall, but also outdoor areas for archery. Accessible to all ages, young and old alike can come and try archery and enjoy an unusual hobby.



Sportsmen and women can also meet at the Bordes swimming pool in Chennevières. With its 3 pools, including an outdoor paddling pool, the Bordes swimming pool offers you the possibility of swimming all year round.
