Lovely hotel, very nice staff. Warm and comfortable room. Walkable to Notre dame and the metro is close by.

Good last night in Paris
We stayed at Hotel Viator on the last night of our trip. I chose the hotel because of its proximity to the Gare de Lyon. We were not disappointed. The hotel was an easy walk from the station; it was clean; the room was a nice size; the bathroom was very large; there were two extra pillows in the closet - all in all, an excellent choice. The front dest arranged a taxi to the airport for the next morning and the taxi arrived early. The only downside was that no one informed me that there was a flat rate for the taxi. I wish that I had been made aware of that before leaving the hotel in the morning.

The woman at the front desk was very kind, polite and helpful. She allowed me to store my cheese and butter in the fridge overnight. Pros: Cheap place to crash for the night and very close to Gare de Lyon and easy to get to the airport. Very walkable location with great resto options nearby. Cons: My bathroom REEKED of stale smoke, I had to keep the door closed. The room is dated and bed and pillows uncomfortable. You need to be able to carry your bag to the first floor to catch the lift.

For being a 5-minute walk to the Gare de Lyon, with its multitudinous lines of transportation, it was actually quiet. Of course, double-paned windows helped, and although visible from the front of the train station, it is actually on a residential street a block away from the biggest bustle of the station. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was hearty. Although we wished we could have been on the top floor, where they offered to upgrade us, I really needed the elevator, so we stayed on the 6th floor. We enjoyed a drink at the elegant Le Train Bleu and took some great pictures on Rue Cremieux on our way to the Seine, The Arsenal Basin was interesting, as I had never seen it before. If we had had more time we would have strolled on the Coulee Verte. Easy walk to Picpus Cemetery and Place des Vosges.

The hotel location is excellent as it is walking distance from Gare De Lyon train station. The elevator was not working fully, however the night manager helped us move one bag up one floor. It was a windy night and one window opened partially and water came in the room. We could not secure the window Did not use any of dining options

The hotel is located close to Gare de Lyon so quite easy to move around on metro. Bastile and another station is also not too far away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was clean and comfortable, so overalll it was a good choice for me!

Best so far in Paris
It's a complete gem in Paris. Excellent location, amazing breakfast, very comfortable rooms, 24/7 lobby, very kind staff, and huge bonus, elevator to carry your bags. Will be definitely checking out this hotel next time we're in Paris.

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The staff were helpful, the room was delightfully spacious, the bathroom clean and a lovely comfortable bed. Gare de Lyon and the bus close, lots of cafes and restaurants, patisseries and super markets close. A short walk across the river to the Jardin de Plants where there is a hop on hop off bus stop.

Crisis Averted
The staff were amazing. They let us check in early since our train came in before check in time. The kind lady who helped us also booked a taxi for our very early morning flight. Overnight, however, our flight was cancelled and booked for an earlier time. The attendant at the desk made sure to keep tabs on the taxi we ordered and we still managed to make our flight. Everyone was so kind and helpful and I'd recommend this place with no reservations.

What a great boutique hotel in the Gare de Lyon region in Paris! We stayed for 3 nights in August 2023 in a superior double room. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful (particularly the gentleman), the room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The windows did a great job of keeping it traffic noise out and the window shutters and blackout curtains kept the room dark at night. The hotel is about 6 min from all from the Gare de Lyon train station and there are lots of restaurants and boulangeries with fantastic pastries nearby. We didn’t have the breakfast at the hotel, but would have liked to have coffee packets and black tea available in our room rather than only two types of herbal tea, . I always travel with spare tea bags and instant coffee so we were able to use the kettle to make hot drinks each morning. We would definitely stay here again.
