I know Paris hotel rooms are cramped, but for a 5 star hotel, this was ridiculous. We ordered a room with a balcony but it is so narrow, and the iron chairs so uncomfortable, the space was almost unusable. Lovely bar and all employees were friendly and professional. The location is perfect - everything you want or need is within a ten minute walk. The facility is just too old and rooms too tight. An important note given the recent heat waves: the AC was excellent.

This hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful location. Close to nice cafes and restaurants and the metro but in a quieter area that’s not as touristy. Wonderful grocery store across the street and easy to jump on e-bike rentals that are in area.

Location of the hotel is perfect! Not busy but very central. The hotel staff was helpful and accommodating at all times. The rooms are fine. The hotel is clean and in good repair but dated. No plugs or USB ports near the bed. Shower/tub has no door or curtain so water goes everywhere. AC worked great. Our rooms had a Juliet balcony and [distant] views of the Eiffel Tower which was very nice. Bar is dark and overpriced. Tip: there is a Monoprix grocery store across the street and a boulangerie less than a block away.

The Staff was nice and the location was great . When we checked in there was a hair in our bed and then the moved our room and there was hair in the next we didn’t complain on second to tired from our flight. The maid service is lacking, left room at 9 am came back at 4 and room hadn’t been serviced they were quick to respond when i called to front desk but just not quite 5 star service. Great location though

This was my fourth trip to Paris, staying in a different area each time, and my first stay at Hôtel Pont Royal. I can confidently say this has been the most convenient location I’ve experienced in Paris! I absolutely loved Saint-Germain-des-Prés and would stay here again without hesitation. We booked a Premium Room with a balcony, and the views were incredible. From our balcony, we could see the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Cœur, and even the Paris 2024 Olympic Cauldron, the famous balloon that rises above the city and glows like a flame at night. Watching the Paris skyline light up from our balcony was magical. The location is exceptional, surrounded by cafés, restaurants and shops, with a grocery store literally steps from the hotel, incredibly convenient for water, snacks or wine. The hotel bar was another highlight. The cocktails were exquisite, including drinks featuring rare Chartreuse! Be prepared for around €24 per cocktail, definitely a splurge, but well worth it. My only wish is that the hotel had a spa. For a five-star property, a Jacuzzi, dry sauna or steam room would be a wonderful addition after a long day walking Paris. Overall, I absolutely loved our stay. After four trips to Paris, this is easily my favorite location for convenience. First stay at Hôtel Pont Royal, but definitely not my last! Go to Montargis by train if you want to experience a little village, not too far away from Paris.

This was my third stay at this wonderful hotel. Location - perfect! THE LOCATION- this is where to stay if you want to be close to the Louvre, San Sulpice (if you don’t know this church, add it to your list NOW), great shopping, The Tuileries are a 10 minute walk away - lovely any time of day. Yummy high quality sheets on a comfy bed were much appreciated after a rough morning of travel. The breakfast (€34) is worth it IF you’re going to be in transit (flying internationally, etc) and is well stocked with many lovely options. BUT …. This is Paris…. There are tons of cafes nearby at which to enjoy a cafe crème and a croissant for €4. The staff are incredibly helpful and polite - always professional. I was leaving in Bastille Day and the front desk contacted me in advance to make sure I allowed enough time to get to CDG (lots of road closures!) and escorted me to a taxi which could only get within a block of the hotel. Book a table at Atelier de Joel Rubouchon. Just do it. This is the sort of amazing Parisian dining you’ve dreamt about. Fabulous hotel. I’ll be back.

Everyone from the bellman to the reception to the housekeeping were excellent! Stayed here for a week and it’s been an amazing experience. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby including the French restaurant in the hotel and also the grocery store in front and pharmacy located next to the hotel.
