Great location, right next to Pont Cardinet station which was great for access to the centre and Versailles. Room was small but pleasant, staff were friendly also. There are many good restaurants and shops close by. Amazing value for Paris.

This was my first time in Paris and this hotel is in a great area. Pretty quiet, not very busy or touristy. Short walk to a bus stop and the metro. Cafes near by. The staff was really nice and super helpful they spoke English. The beds were comfortable and clean. Housekeeping came every afternoon and replaced everything. Bathroom is very small and water gets everywhere on the floor because there is only one glass panel. The water was nice and hot which I need after being out all day. Honestly for the price I would stay again. Thank you for making my first experience in Paris a good one 💕

The staff were lovely and always went above and beyond for us. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfy. Had every essential although didn’t have a kettle in the rooms but provided hot water with the coffee machine. The hotel itself is only about a 30 min walk from the arc de triomphe or a 10 min walk from the metro which was so convenient for us. There were lots of delicious bakeries around the hotel too! Staff were also very helpful with directions to Disneyland and provided us with maps of the city.

Nos gustó la atención, hablan ingles y son muy amables. El desayuno básico pero rico. La habitación limpia. Tuvimos suerte al poder hacer check in antes de la hora marcada, de cualquier manera nos habían comentado que podíamos dejar en resguardo las maletas. La zona es muy tranquila y accesible por bus y metro.

Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf in Hotel Gaston. Het personeel is uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en altijd bereid om te helpen, wat ons meteen een welkom gevoel gaf. De kamers waren netjes, schoon en goed onderhouden. De ligging is perfect: rustig, maar toch dicht bij het openbaar vervoer, waardoor we de stad gemakkelijk konden verkennen. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en gevarieerd, een fijne start van de dag. Op onze vertrekdag vroegen we om extra handdoeken zodat we ons nog konden opfrissen voor de reis, en die kregen we zonder problemen, echt top service! Kortom, een aanrader voor iedereen die Parijs wil bezoeken en op zoek is naar comfort, gastvrijheid en een goede locatie.

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price We stayed at Hotel Gaston for 5 nights, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. First, housekeeping is not automatic—you have to request it. We asked once during our stay, and they didn’t come. We had to follow up two more times before the room was finally cleaned. Even then, the service was minimal: they only replaced the towels and emptied the trash. No bed-making, no bathroom cleaning. The breakfast is very basic and repetitive—it felt like the same items were just recycled every day with no variety or freshness. The hotel also had an unpleasant smell on some days when we returned, making it feel far from welcoming. On top of that, you’re required to leave your room key at reception every time you leave, which feels outdated and inconvenient. The room itself is extremely small—barely enough space for one person, let alone two. You constantly bump into the TV, and the bed isn’t suitable for taller guests (my legs were hanging off the edge). It’s not a good option for couples or even two friends. There’s also no fridge, no iron, and no basic amenities you’d expect for the price. The only good thing about the hotel is its location—the area around it is nice and convenient. But overall, for the price we paid, we could’ve booked something much better. Would not recommend.
