I loved this hotel but for an older person I suggest requesting a lower floor as the stairs aren’t ideal. The rooms were toasty warm in Winter with great heaters and towel racks. Close to Metro and buses when not on strike.

This is a old property. The room was pretty small(no space beyond the cot and a table) and the carpets a bit old. The bathroom was clean. The location is very good, there is a metro station within a 5 minute walk and you can view effiel tower with Siene if you walk for 10 minutes. All tourist attractions like effiel, Louvre etc are within 30 minutes by metro. There are restraints close by to this hotel. They have Free Wifi where the speed is ok. You can stay at this place if you get a deal on the room rate.

Basic but clean no frills hotel
Close to metro, hotel basic but clean. Be prepared as there's no kettle or fridge or wardrobe. They wouldn't provide hot drinks at reception even though it said in booklet in the room that they could. No phone in room to call reception. Lots of twisting steps to get to room, no lift or offer of help from staff to help with cases. Breakfast basic continental however no staff had turned up to make breakfast on Saturday .reception staff opened kitchen and said help yourself to bread and croissants!

We loved the bathroom-very current. You could tell it was new in comparison to the room. My partner was not pleased with the heating system in the room-always felt cold. I was fine so depends on the person. There were plenty of extra blankets to use so really not a problem. The price was right and it fit the location so no complaints.

Good, quiet location near the metro. Very clean room, bathroom almost brand new. Friendly staff. Nice courtyard. For a two-star hotel in Paris, this is great value. The only drawback is that you can sometimes hear a bit of noise from the corridor and other rooms.

Notified that my room had no hot water for the duration of my stay on the morning of arrival. No option but to stay anyway. Disgraceful way to treat your customers and I expect a significant refund on payment I made 3 months ago.

Argh, wish this had been better.
Sorry to have to give negative marks to this hotel --the management were friendly, but our rooms were very poor. They're in the process of a noisy re-modeling; I don't know how much this affected the quality of room offered. I understand it's only a 2-star hotel, but I've stayed in 2-star hotels in France for years, and this did not compare favorably. Worst was no hot water (!) last night/ morning of my stay, with no excuse or attempt to address the issue from the front desk. Rooms painfully small, literally; you bump into walls and furniture just trying to move. No elevator, rooms down very small, poorly-lit hallways up steep winding stairways, almost impossible to manage with luggage. Listing on Hotels.com does not allow specifying two beds (vs. one large one); this is a major problem. Last night of our stay the two of us slept very poorly indeed on one comically broken-in mattress. The rug near the bathroom door was wet from someone else's shower; the rug was stained and mildewed. Argh.

we had no hot water one day for 6-7 hours, and next day no water at all from 12 noon to 8.30 pm....the hotel says it was a major one off problem which unfortunately ruined our stay. The beds were very bad and uncomfortable due to mattresses sinking from the middle, mold in the bathroom, shame because the property itself is beautiful, but poorly managed. Reception staff were very nice, breakfast was excellent...they can fix their problems with a little effort and make it a very desirable hotel.

The professionalism they share and the quality of their service are very important to the manager that I am and I have full confidence in their work. Then, I am very happy you find our place beautiful with our garden, surroundings and atmosphere. And by the way, you are ready to recommend the hotel. And finally, I am more than happy you enjoyed the complimentary breakfast (for the inconvenience you met). It's rewarding our hard work on this item. Know that we are always doing our best for our clients in every situation like the one you encountered. If you feel I manage the hotel in the wrong way I apologize for my negative approach due probably to the nervousness of the situation and my inability to solve by myself the problem. The work that has been requested has not been done in consultation with the hotel and the technicians are not employees of the hotel. It was difficult for me to have accurate information on the progress of their task and the deadlines announced were never respected. Unfortunately, I can say that you were there in the wrong time. Great place, close to a metro station station where the line 9 could take us to nearly all the places in Paris. Great receptionists so helpfull, kind and smiling. Easy check-in and check-out. It has a garden in the middle for the people who want to calm themselves within the small nature. I gave only 4 out of 5 "stars" because it did not have an elevator and the stairway was narrow, so if you have any disabilities or have big luggages try to book a ground-floor room. Don't expect a 5-star breakfast for 10euro/day. and i booked a 2 twin bed room but i got a twin-bed (alright) but attached to each other and not separated.

Nice check in and chocolate at the entrance. Room we got was not accurate to the pictures. The pictures online must be of the nicest rooms. Be prepared for a lot of stairs, but that was expected so it was no problem. It’s a good cheap place to stay in Paris, it is clean. Also very simple and on the older end. Overall a good place, just don’t expect the room in the pictures.

The worst part. Worse than the labyrinth it is in. Tiny, trafficked, one way, poorly marked streets. Worse than the crack den halls. worse than the no AC. Worse than the miniscule rooms. worse than the non functioning room safes and manager safes that don't fit a lap top. Is the parking. The claim to have ONE spot! Of course it was taken. They sent me to a pay lot that cost $40E a day (even half)! That was half of what I paid to stay here. Good for the two weeks they have the Open but even then it is a nasty hassle. Don't come with a car. This is still the middle of the city.

Hi, We thank you for staying with us even if you didn't enjoy your trip in Paris. One way streets, labyrinth arround, crack halls... are hopefully not manager by the Hotel. For your laptop, we are sorry it did not fit in our safes. It's true as weel that we do not have AC but the opening on the garden brings some nice refresh. Yes we have only one parking spot which is necessary to book in advance as you noticed on your arrival and definitely Paris is not a city which easy to drive in. Thank you again for sharing your feedback.

Very convenient. No frills
This is not your 5 star stay. This is a very convenient hotel, close to the subway, situated in a beautiful Parisian neighborhood. The room is clean but very dated. The facilities are bare bones, but there’s nothing wrong with it! Definitely a good value for the money. If you’re willing to sacrifice amenities for price and accessibility, this is a great option.

Very Awful Hotel
We booked a 3 guest for one room. They confirmed it but when we arrived there was no room for 3. They were sorting it for the whole afternoon. No sofa bed provided for one guest.I paid 3 people on the booking They were asking for another room and to be paid too but I refused for its a family booking. No clmpensation given One member had to sleep on the floor. Underneath the toilet bowl were grotty black thing. Very disappointing We demand compensation for this very awful service and hotel.

The bathroom was small, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, there was mold on the ceiling and the room smelled very musty and old. We had the windows open but it was a little too cold to keep them open for long. The room was up three sets of spiral stairs that were barely wide enough for one to walk up comfortably, no handrail- would have been impossible with even a small suitcase or any difficulty walking. Disappointing room, would have expected a slightly healthier room for the price, even though it is cheap

depressing Exelmans Hotel
the staff is unpleasant, unhelpful, I came in and left on crutches, asked for help with my bags, but Nothing, no one helped me. Televison in room didn't work and no one repaired it. Lights on wall flashed all night like a disco and couldn't sleep.

perfect location for a visit to Hospital European,
The room was fine and the location perfect for my visit to the hospital that is located just across the river. The hotel is undergoing renovation and the stairway and landing carpets need replacing, but obviously you do that after the rooms are done. The room was fine.

Visiting friends in Paris where I once lived.
This Hotel is basic and inexpensive (if paying a package price). The single room I was in needed a working extractor fan in the bathroom which would have lowered the incidence of grey patches of mould on the shower curtain and the ceiling and walls. A light bulb in one of 3 lights needed replacement. The carpet would benefit from steam cleaning or renewal. Flaking paint over the boxed pipes at ceiling level wasn't a good look and the room, although small, would look better if redecorated with placement of pictures on the walls given more thought. The staircase to the corridor for rooms 2-7 was badly lit (new lightbulb required). Public areas were okay but a lot more could have been made of the courtyard accessed from the reception area. Breakfast was okay. Staff were pleasant. Some investment would make this a more charming place to stay.
