Nice hotel at a reasonable price near Gare de Lyon

Nice hotel conveniently located close to Gare de Lyon. Clean. Comfortable. And reasonably priced. A very good find for Paris.

Breakfast- good selection and it was nice. At 15 Euros it was good. Space- room was very small. The steps up were narrow and so was the elevator. TV- was all in French and we couldn’t get any programming in English nor was there CC in English Sleep- the bed was comfortable and the street was quiet.

Quiet clean hotel

Quite clean hotel. Perfect for where we needed to be. There is an amazing coffee shop down the block along with a variety of restaurants. the weekend market is a plus. I would stay here again

Hotel was convenient walk from Gare du Lyon on a quiet but run down side street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean and housekeeping came in daily. Lots of local restaurants, cafes and outdoor markets within 5 to 15 minutes walk.

Pros: great location. Air conditioning. Nice shower and very comfy bed. 24hr staff desk. Cons: Room was small and not really like the pictures at all. Shower had some mouldy sealant. Staff came into room to replace towels, which we hadn’t been told about. Staff overall not very talkative or friendly although I appreciate the language barrier.

Basic, but clean, comfortable and convenient. Situated in the Bastille district with great local cafes and shops just around the corner. Two metro lines nearby to easily whisk you to probably all the places you need to get to and see in Paris. Recommended 👍

This was our third stay at the Color Design Hotel and every time has been as perfect as the last. The staff is always thoughtful and courteous. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. The price is well below what you could easily spend in Paris. The neighborhood is absolutely outstanding with the local farmers market a few blocks away. Cafés, bakeries, restaurants and nightlife everywhere right outside the front door!

Not quite sure where the "design" comes from in this hotel. It is not a bad place to stay but the name is pretty misleading. Everything is old and for example the two bedlamps in the room were broken. but it was wonderfully quiet all through the night. Big bonus.

The Staff was very kind and and were prompt in servicing room while I was gone. Very very quiet. However the facility looks like it hasnt been properly kept up with for years by owners which shows in things being stained, broken, and not at all like the photos they have that I believe are very very old and from back when they were a premium hotel. None of the draw in the "color" is present in the rooms now with lights and artistic appeal gone due to burnt out lights or filters they had before. Again solid experience with the food and people but owners need to refresh this place.

A decent hotel to stay in for a couple of nights, a good area that was close by to metro & train stations which made getting around Paris a lot easier! There was a few things with the room I did not like there was light fixture loose in the ceiling and a few spotlights missing bulbs. The hairdryer that was provided in the bathroom did not work. The stairs were very narrow and the lift did not work at times, which wasn’t great being on the top floor having to walk up or down all the flights of stairs. Staff were pleasant and welcoming the entire stay.

Hotel was clean and tidy. The room was promoted as a twin room, but it was a large double bed, luckily it was not too much of a problem. The room safe was not working and also it was NOT fixed to the wall - so it was of no use. The lift was very small (it only has capacity for 3 adults), so if you have very large luggage, it could be a problem if your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floor. There is a small restaurant that does breakfast only, but this is not a problem as there are plenty of restaurants very close to the hotel and are open until very late. The staff were helpful and always willing to help and advise on any questions you have.

Pictures of the hotel Are not real. The sit of the bathroom was broken and I had to fix it. There door couldn’t close properly and it was dirty. The room was not clean… the shelves looked dirty. We didn’t want to touch anything. The door of the room was not able to be locked. The paint of the wall was falling in some spots. No body was cleaning the room or removing the rubbish everyday. Not sure how it got the 3 stars The bed was comfortable and the heater worked very good. Location also goos
