"The air conditioning in my room wasn't working, and there was no way to turn it on or adjust the temperature myself—they control it via computer. I asked them to turn it on, but they didn't; I went to the front desk at 10:00 PM, 11:30 PM, and 1:00 AM. They only turned it on at that last visit, by which point I had already lost my sleep because the room was like an oven. This was my first and last time at this hotel."

"Centrally located, easy to get a taxi. Close to station and metro. Rooms a good size. Hotel was on main street so noise from road and restaurants and pubs were loud along with noise from corridor. Bathroom well appointed but tub shower combo with taps in the way are not ideal especially in slippery bath that took ages to drain and the tiled floor that was slippery when wet They need to upgrade their mattress's they had dips in them and you just sank into them and hard as concrete. We had breakfast included and only once was any of it warm, nothing worse than cold bacon and scrambled eggs. The hotel is nicely decorated as it is old, but the rooms need updating along with the need to charge electronics, only 1 usb port and that stopped working after a day. The hilight were the finches in the garden watching them cleaning up after breakfast, they obviously don't mind cold food."

"A very family friendly hotel with lots of grounds with trees and outdoor seating areas . The room was very spacious and well maintained. Very clean with a wardrobe with electronic safe for your valuables. There was a dresser with large mirror and small fridge stocked with variety of drinks. There was also a kettle and small selection of teas. Our room had ensuite bathroom with a shower enclosure. There is a large outdoor swimming pool, well maintained but we don't swim so only had a nosy. There is also a small, but beautiful chapel and rooftop terrace but there were no activities there during our stay. The restaurant was outstanding with great menu. For me the biggest asset of the hotel was its staff. Amazing people. Very polite, very friendly and ever so helpful. From the reception team to the very hard working restaurant staff. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you so much for making our holiday one to remember for years to come. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting Rome. Sam K and Anne"

"One of the best hotels I have stayed at in Europe. The hotel was clean and updated. Room was a great size. Bathroom was quite large for European standards. The AC worked great. The staff were so helpful. The location is a bit outside the main sights but that made it quieter and more relaxed. I would definitely stay here again."

"Excellent service and a very clean, comfortable room; value for money was average for a hotel of this category. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Our Family Studio was a good size for a family, very clean and comfortable, with a crib provided in good condition. The A/C worked well, noise was low (some outside noise, nothing serious), and there is an elevator to the upper floors. A few things to be aware of: the room showed some signs of wear and felt a bit dated. Ours was on the first floor and quite dark — the only window was at the far inner end of the room, so it received little natural light. The breakfast buffet was decent for the price but not very extensive, so we had breakfast elsewhere the next day. The rooftop restaurant was good for dinner. The complimentary bottle of prosecco included with our Expedia booking wasn't provided at first, but the hotel corrected it after we flagged it. The room upgrade offered with the booking (subject to availability) was not available. The hotel is in the Piazza Ippolito Nievo area of Trastevere, about a 20-minute walk from the main sights and restaurants around Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere, and the immediate surroundings are not particularly scenic. There is a tram stop very close by, though we didn't use it. For a hotel listed as 4-star, we found the value for money average. Best suited for travelers who prioritize service, cleanliness and space over ambiance and a central location."
