"We went here with another couple and enjoyed 2 junior suites next to one another without other rooms nearby. Everything was great: room, staff, food. We especially loved the birding tour with Julian Fernandez which started at 5:15 AM to look for quetzals (which we saw) and after breakfast we continued with the tour until 11. Julian was so knowledgable and took the time to explain many fascinating things about birds. This is definatly a bird watcher's paradise. I used the hot tub and even enjoyed...

"We booked this last minute as an alternative to our more rugged lodge in the mountains. It was a perfect antidote! The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful, the location overlooking the ocean was breathtaking. The food was probably the best we'd experienced during out 10 day Costa Rican visit! "Beautiful lodging and our stay was perfect!
Hosts were very nice and the woodwork of cabinets and doors was beautiful. We walked in early morning and late afternoon and saw quite a few Toucans. Also a lot of Pavones (Wild Turkeys) and a Pisote stopped by and we watched them off our porch. The drive up the unpaved road took about 15 minutes from the main road and was worth it … the high hillside had a tremendous view from our back porch and the small pool was refreshing! Great place to stay!"
