"The Paara Safari Ladge is great choice when visiting Murcheson Falls National Park...easily one of the best in this remote area. But be careful when you book your room to make sure that it has air conditioning if that is important to you. (It's very hot at Paara). Even though I had a copy of my booking with Hotels.com that clearly stated that I hadn't paid for an air conditioned room, it required 30 minutes of arguing and a call to hotels.com before they would give me the room I had paid for....

"I really enjoyed the hippos grazing at night. The staff also built us a bonfire the first night we were there and we were able to eat around it. The biggest problem was they said we were not expected ( even though my name was clearly on their guest list) and that they did not know we had a 6 year old with us. They were very confused at first and did not know how to handle the situation. One man was very unfriendly."

"The staff was nice. We went on a Safari and we got to see lots of animals and we went on a dinner boat cruise and got to see hippos and and some other wildlife and that was a lot of fun. "A lovely lodge on the edge of Murchison Falls National Park and the Nile. The staff were friendly and always escorted us to and from our lodge after dark in case of elephants (which we did encounter on the track to the lodge on one eve). The lodge was very large with Verandah and bathroom as well as 3 bedded bedroom. You can hear music at night from across the Nile so ear plugs would be recommended for light sleepers. It is so convenient for early morning games drives and the buffet breakfast...
