Multigenerational getaway

What a great place to stay for the entire family. Everyone had something to do. The pond was great and not too far from the house which was an added benefit.

Everything was fantastic!

Everything about the process from booking to check-out was great. Mitch and Debbie were very communicative, and the property itself was perfect for a large group gathering. The castle is enormous and extremely well-kept, and the outdoor space is beautiful. I highly recommend staying here!

Royal Family 60th Birthday Celebration

Whole family was delighted with the terrific kitchen, sleeping arrangements, activities in doors and out, spacious enchanted grounds and beautiful castle!

A castle in the fields

The castle was very unique & interesting. One of the favorite things was that each bedroom had its own attached bathroom. That will be hard to beat at other VRBO's we may stay in the future. :)

Great property with lots to do

10 guys stayed for a total 3 nights for a fantasy football draft. Plenty of stuff to do at the property from golf, to fishing, to horseshoes, to beach and swimming. Highly recommend the property. Beds were comfortable also.

Wonderful Birthday Trip

My kids enjoyed “playing castle” all weekend. The other adults and I enjoyed the peaceful setting. Everything was better in person. We would return.

The castle is amazing !

We had a great family gathering . The younger kids loved the beach area and taking alittle ride on the pontoon boat . They caught a couple of fish and enjoyed cooking smores at the outdoor fire area. The kitchen was great for cooking big meals and serving areas great. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans etc. The house is beautiful in every way . We plan to come back !

It is as amazing as is stated!

We were extremely comfortable. Two families had 3 kids each, then there were four additional adults and we were all comfy. There are more than enough areas to get away and read or relax away for the others if needed. There are enough things to do to keep the kids entertained. It is a wonderful get away place. I would suggest if you have a few older adults to bring a step stool the beds are really, really high! We are already talking about doing it again!

Training camp

We did a preseason training camp with our U15 soccer team and Palmyra castle was our home for the duration of the camp. At the end of our stay the boys didn't want to go home. We were absolutely fascinated by the castle, everything was provided and the owners were more than helpful and friendly. The boys insisted that we come back every year - hopefully we can get such a great deal again. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Dusan Roadrunners SC

Great Family Get Away - Again!

My Wife & I and all our Sons, Daughters & Grandchildren had a Great Time, AGAIN, at the King Castle! The Grandkids loved the Castle, playing princesses & knights, as did all the Adults! The private beach was so much Fun for our little Grandchildren. We were also able to fish with the Grandkids. The Theatre Room was fun for the raining day. Deb was so easy to work with, before & after our stay. Plenty of room for the entire Family. The 2 outside grills allowed us to quickly feed everyone, on the large deck & the large Dining Room. Very nice small hiking trail around the property. Thanks Again Mitch & Deb! This was our second year & we hope to return again. The Doyle's

Great Family Vacation!

Our entire Family; Grandparents, Adult Children, and Grandchildren had such a fun Family Vacation! Mitch & Debbie were wonderful hosts. The property was perfect for our Family. Plenty of room for everyone to have Family Fun for all ages. The beach was perfect for making sand castles, and swimming was great from babies to Adults. The hidden room was so much fun. Lot's of room inside the castle as well as outside. The Campfire was very large & perfect for roasting Marshmallows. We were able to catch some fish which was exciting for the Grandchildren. All the Bedrooms were very large so we did bring some air mattresses so each Family could be in each bedroom. We are definitely coming back next year! Our whole Family is looking to come back to the Castle. Mitch was so thoughtful to have play crowns, knight helmets, swords and shields for our Grandchildren! Best VRBO place we have stayed, and we have been booking through VRBO over 10+ years!

Fun family Thanksgiving retreat

Our family had a wonderful time at this interesting, unusual home. The kids loved all the fun decor, nooks and crannies, and extensive stomping grounds outside. They absolutely adored the “secret“ projection room; it became their main gathering spot. The adults mostly congregated in the large, comfortable living room, where we kept a wood-burning fire going almost continuously. The kitchen is excellent for large groups. We appreciated that there were plenty of plates, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs, and silverware to accommodate our group of 13. Plus it was stocked with every imaginable appliance and gadget a chef could want! The beds were very comfortable, with snowy white linens and nice warm covers. We were also obsessed with the massage chair in the master bedroom! It’s a huge house and very hard to keep the entire place spotlessly clean, I’m sure. It could stand a deep cleaning at some point, but overall it was nice enough. We would definitely come back to this fun castle!

What a treat!!!

What a treat it was to stay in this incredible castle! Much like being in a museum or staying on a Disney property. Everywhere we look, inside and out, there is a conversation piece or something fun to do. So many thoughtful details! It was the perfect landing spot to meet up with family and celebrate Thanksgiving and my husbands 49th birthday. We are heading home having made lots of great memories…we’ll be missing the kitties.!

Cooking and outdoor play

We love cooking and kitchen was well stocked with pans and tools and outdoor grills. We enjoyed pontoon boat & fishing & time on the decks. Hostess put out costumes for the kids to wear! Lots of space for outdoor games (bring your own).

the property was a s advertised. The kids ha d a lot of fun swimming and fishing and reading the gest book. I would have been happier if it had been a little cooler but the place was awedome.

Family Vacation!

Great place to get together with all the family.would go back again. Great location privacy ,lots to do.My husband had a great time with his brothers on the pontoon fishing.
