Had stayed here twice previously, but will not be returning again. Room lacked toilet paper and a working shower.

I wasn't given the chance to check in. Right away, the owner is telling to go to the motel around the corner where there can give me a king size bed vs the queen size they had. I did go over to check the other facility and I wouldn't even put it on a scale rating. It was Getto looking, the room that was shown to us, smelled nasty and the desk employee Disgustedly Rude & Obnoxious with his Words. I went back to talk with the Tropic Owner ask why he wanted us to stay the Getto Motel...Well as it turns out, he give my reservation to a person that wanted to stay an additional day. So, needless to say, I had to drive two hours home since I didn't have a place to stay the night. It was such an inconvenience. My reservation were made two months prior and I feel that I should have had top priority over someone who decides to add an additional night. Tropic will not be getting any business from me in the future. No Hospitality Etiquette.

We found long black hair in our bed and lipstick on our sheets! The manager said it was because a previous customer decided to leave and the maids thought they were staying so only made up the bed and didn’t change the sheets. Also they are now renting to itinerant workers who are very young and party late at night and then get up for work at 4:30 am stomping around upstairs and down the stairs. In a nutshell it’s a mistake to book this motel now. We stayed here last year and loved it. Not the same anymore.

Tropics motors Worst stay ever !!!!

The room was hot the sink & shower were dirty. When I left the someone went through my bag. When I had brought it to there attention I was accoused of having extra person in the room not mention on the 3rd day Management came to the room and was very rude saying check out was at 11.we weren't due for check till the next day. And about us having a guest come bye were in the desert can't have a friend wait in the car now We paid for 4 days in advance and we were told to have visitors it would be $20 per person just to step in the room. The last night of our stay were kicked out and they kept our deposit

So bad I had to call the Cops before speeding off.

Not the safest place. Bunch of men were drinking and arguing and shouting outside my door. There was nobody at front desk and nobody picked up phone even though I tried many times. The guys started getting violent, banged on my window and door. Had to call the Cops. I left the place right then at 11pm fearing for my life. Lost a week's worth of days booked. No refunds. Never going back there.

Very comfortable bed and great sized room. We only came in for the night but the staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool was great in the morning and we wished we could have stayed longer. I definitely recommend Tropics hotel to anyone in the Indio area.

NEVER AGAIN

Very uncomfortable bed, very hard and lumpy. no electrical plugs other than behind the bed where both lamps were plugged, unable to access and the other was behind the chest with tv, microwave and refrig were plugged and unable to access. The only plug was at the bathroom sink where I charged. Received 2 key cards, one worked, went out, returned after midnite, neither key worked, finally aroused a lady who made a new key....Unit was clean and updated . No coffee maker or kleenex tissues! The pool was very dirty, but was cleaned the next day when we left.

Worst stay ever

Roaches all over the room . Sheets had stains on it . The owner of the property extorted more money from us prior to check in , without being able to present a legal form of receipt . He was very rude and implemented ridiculous rules with threats of kicking us out with no refund . Worst stay ever .
