From the moment I arrived, my experience at The Movie Colony Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. This boutique hotel goes above and beyond in every aspect - hospitality, comfort, cleanliness, and charm. The location was ideal - walking distance to downtown and right across the street from Cafe La Jefa Coffee House. The Movie Colony Hotel is a true gem, and can’t wait to return.

Staying here again!

Overall an excellent experience, especially given the price. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean and bed was super comfortable. We were just a few minutes' walk from the main downtown strip with restaurants and shops, etc. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

The Colony was an amazing stay. I really liked the staff’s hospitality and their breakfast options in the morning. Their pool is really nice as well. Its around a lot of places, easy to walk around.

I have stayed at the Movie Colony several times and have always enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Great pool and great staff. The location cannot be beat. It is close enough to walk everywhere in downtown Palm Springs. Highly recommended.

One of my absolute favorite hotels in palm springs. It is conveniently located and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can take a walk at any time, neighborhood is safe. Rooms are well decorated and beds are comfortable. Wine and cheese every afternoon :)

Check in is the next door sister property , easy parking access . Jacuzzi water wasn’t hit . The AC is right next to the bed so whoever is next to it , it will blow cold air straight to their face.

Only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Olivia was a great host juggling multiple tasks and still providing awesome service! Hope she is recognized for her hard work. Loved that the pool was heated, room was clean, overall we will be coming back.

San Jacinto hike

Nice hotel near downtown area - most everything seemed within walking distance. Friendly staff, a wine/cheese happy hour, nice pool & jacuzzi. The only knock I’d give is the room window shutters could use some repairs and curtains would be nice because at night there was a lot of light in the room from outside (I like pitch black at night).

Awful place. Dark, dingy, claustrophobic rooms and hotel. If you like sleep, stay away! The AC unit was like a jet engine, the people upstairs were like elephants all night and the hapless desk man, after a sleepless night woke me up early in the morning for no good reason at all. This place is hell

No complimentary water in room after first night. So I couldn’t make coffee. And the coffee served in the lobby is only after 9:00. There was also very loud construction at the property next door which had guests wake up at 7:15 am. I asked for a late check out and all they accommodated me with was an extra 30 minutes after such a loud and miserable morning and lack of sleep.
