Excellent Palm Springs Home

We absolutely loved the location of the property and it was a really great mid century modern feel. We enjoyed the backyard and pool area very much. The property management was so easy to contact and they always responded promptly to any questions I had. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a great place to get away to in Palm Springs!

Excellent stay at Chi Chi House

Three individual ensuites for three women, a necessity!!! Perfect at the Chi Chi House. Huge relaxing/entertainment areas. Covered patio deck for poolside relaxation our of the sun, if desired. Spotlessly clean house. Awesome vintage decor. Original tile and fixtures in kitchen and bathrooms in MINT condition. Smallish kitchen but functional and well equipped. Fantastic locatio five minutes or less (driving) from charming downtown Palm Springs restarting, museums, and shopping. Would be ideal for three couples, as all three bedrooms/bathrooms are in separate corners of the house. Will definitely book the Chi Chi House again.

Fairly good, but not ideal

First the good. Very clean place with great customer service and communication. Very private back yard, rooms are large and everything worked (with one exception, see below). Convenient location near everything, but quite loud from roadway (sounds a bit like a subway). Very very dated property where kitchen, all bathrooms, furniture need updating although there are a lot of neat kitschy touches that are entertaining. Pool was never warm enough to swim in even though we paid for heating and asked for and received 2 service calls - the heater did turn on at least for a bit but never really warmed up the pool, maybe it's not strong enough, did not stay on or pool circulation does not work right. Owner refused to refund the $300 pool heating fee.

Noise and showers

Was woke up to chainsaws on sunday and monday morning at 7:30am. There were bush trimmers in yard behind us. We couldnt sit outside and enjoy our vacation. They were asked to stopped but that was ignored. The showers were either ice cold or scalding hot.

Wonderful stay at Chi Chi House

We had a wonderful stay at Chi Chi House! We loved the mid-century decor, which was comfortable and functional. We were two couples staying there and the house was more than big enough. We especially enjoyed the layout of the backyard with the pool, lots of places to sit and a covered section for when we wanted to sit in the shade. The house is centrally located, and it was easy to go just about anywhere. We also enjoyed taking walks in the beautiful neighborhood. Check-in and check-out were easy. We hope to go back next year!

Lovely stay

House worked well for a get away, clean and ready to go. It was on a very busy street. So quite a lot of road noise. Other then that back yard had a lovely layout and was very private!

Fabulous home

Went away for a friends weekend and could not have been happier with our home selection. This mid century modern home was large, comfortable, and well appointed. All bedrooms have their own bathroom and televisions. The living space has some wonderful art pieces (watch those little ones) and is large enough for all to gather comfortably. The backyard is private with a bbq and a pool. A really lovely historical home. Would definitely book again.

A Step Back In Time!

Such an amazing little gem in PS! The mid century modern was immaculate and so much fun. We were extremely thankful for the pool as we hit record heat during our stay. Love the Chi Chi House and will definitely be back!

We LOVED Chi Chi House!❤️

Five adult friends escaped from Los Angeles for the weekend and had a great time. The house is just as advertised and fully of character. There is a wide array of dishes and cookware which was great since we cooked all of our meals. Charles and the team were great, easy in, easy out. The only caution we’d give is to be aware the TVs aren’t smart TVs but fortunately we had our Chromecast so we could watch streaming apps. As for the noise ordinance, we were worried at first, but it really was a nice break to not play music around the pool and chat it up instead. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Finally - Time for Relaxation

This is a lovely and fun home. The pool was great - but, the sunshine and secluded backyard was amazing. The beds were so comfortable! The kitchen is fully supplied and was easy to cook out meals. We like having recycling too. Great time to read, relax, and quietly chat with one another. If you are someone who does not like music or noise of anykind, this is the place to stay. There are strict rules about noise of anykind.The street and air conditioning noises are pretty noticable, especially without being able to play my classical music.

My husband couldn't stop talking about how comfortable the bed was. The two things to know: 1) The house does not have a spa. I can assure you, in January, it would have been very welcomed. 2) The house is on a very busy street. This was a bit stressful for us because we had our puppy with us, so every time the front door was opened, there was high vigilance. Otherwise, we had an amazing time - this is one of our favorite houses in PS!

Chi Chi House was amazing! The house was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. It was perfect for Thanksgiving. The layout of the house was great for our group, and the pool was fun. Loved it!

We had pretty bad weather for half our trip but luckily there is a covered area by the pool to let us be outside despite the rain. We had an issue with a coffee maker that didn't work, but it was replaced very quickly by the housing mgt team. A bit expensive for a couple, but would be very reasonable for 4 or more adults. Location is about a large city block distance to a plaza w stores, including a supermarket and some casual restaurants. One negative would be that there is some noise you can hear from cars/trucks rumbling past at night, even in the back room.

Clean and lots of space

Everything was good and clean, kitchen has everything which is nice. The only two issues that I think should be solved are, the AC main unit is under bedroom window and the sound doesn't allow you to sleep, second the shower water pressure is very low

Great location and pool

We had a fantastic trip and the house had everything we needed to have a great relaxing trip. The only thing I would be aware of is the house still has single pane windows so it is difficult to cool, and it smells like an old house. I LOVED the charm of the house and the glasses, art, decor and photos from the past so in the end I still appreciated it all but... I didn’t see it in any of the other reviews so giving future renters a heads up! The location is spectacular and we had a great trip!
