Good location. Wonderful courtyard and breakfast. Very disappointed with the room - it felt like we had been dumped in the cellar. It was in the back corner, behind the small kitchen that is behind the dining room. It was very dark as it opened out onto the street via an iron gate with dreadful views of graffiti and weeds. We keep the inner door closed so we had no windows. Silly to say it had a terrace. We asked for another room but we were told they were full - although the number of people at breakfast was few.

Comfort and a great breakfast
This small B&B is located in the Kalsa district of the historic area. I felt safe walking from the train station, about 15 minutes. The neighborhood is not touristy, but rather a working class area. But all the more interesting to me because of that. Still there are very interesting places within easy walking distance. And breakfast is amazing.

Good location in historical part of the city
They do not take credit cards, which I didn't know until check out time. Had to go to bank and get cash and it all was an unpleasant happening . The breakfasts were good and you can sit out in the courtyard, which is pleasant. My room had a terrible smell the first day and 2 nights, but they seemed to solve the problem then. I would recommend the hotel, except for the cash only and the strange smell in the room. It is a 3- rating.

A really nice B & B in La Kalsa, Palermo
Located in the La Kalsa district, it is away from noise and traffic of most of Palermo. Easy to find using the hotel's directions on their webpage. A short 15 minute walk from the train station. Average sized but perfectly comfortable room and bathroom. You can eat breakfast outside in a central courtyard. The only negative was needing to log onto their wi-fi each time you use it: the password is posted on a sign in the room. All in all, a really nice place to stay in the older part of Palermo.

Excellent!
We had a family room for four. It was spacious, clean, with airconditioning!, and with comfortable beds. Add to that the friendly service and english language capabilities, and this will be an excellent B&B for your visit to Palermo.

Lovely Authentic Hotel in old Palermo
What can we say, if you want to get the real feel of an authentic old building with modern cons then we recommend this hotel. The owners were amazing as we're the staff. The rooms were had were spacious and great for a family as the children have a separate room from the parents and gives privacy. We would definitely recommend this hotel if for nothing else but just the people that own it and the staff they were fabulous.

Hard to Find, but Worth the Walk
We spent three lovely days at Al Giardino. It's in an old part of Palermo, where the streets are curved and narrow (and, in the case of Vicolo San Carlo, discontinuous), but that's part of the fun and the charm. The B&B itself covers several connected townhouses around a patio that is pleasant for sitting. The rooms, while plain, are decent sized, and the bathroom modern and generous. (Ask for a room not on the street; the windows are double glazed, but the street is noisy when the windows are open.) The current manager (the former proprietor has sold the hotel) is charming and helpful, although everyone needs to work together because her English is only somewhat better than our Italian. But it all works out, and she's very helpful. She even got breakfast going at 7 on a Sunday to accommodate our schedule. Breakfasts are good, with fresh cappuccino available. The restaurant recommendation for Osteria Ballaro was so good we ate there twice!

Enjoyed stay
Enjoyed our stay. Staff friendly & helpful, Carmelo spoke good english, Maria little. Room 4, comfortable, self catering basic, OK but no microwave. Access to washing facilities on terrace was useful. Very well located near hydrofoil and town centre.

Nice little B&B tucked away in the Kulsa distric
Really nice little B&B tucked away in the Kulsa district. Spacious room, decent breakfast and an easy walk to restaurants shopping and transportation to get around to the rest of Palermo. I would return.

Hier stimmt außer der Lage leider wenig .....
Die Lage ist super,leider hat das Zimmer nicht wie angegeben eine Terrasse,das Frühstück von 08:00h bis 09:00h ! ist wirklich dürftig, Zimmer mehr als einfach(nennt sich aber Comfort Doppelzimmer), die kostenlosen Parkplätze entpuppen sich als Garage die reserviert werden muss und 15€ pro Tag kostet. Der einzige Trost ist der nette Mitarbeiter der Rezeption.

Lieber Gast, unser Haus ist einfach mit allem Komfort, um "gut" zu schlafen (ein großes Bett, ein großer Kleiderschrank, ein Stuhl, ein Tisch, zwei Sessel, zwei Nachttische, ein Fernseher, ein Kühlschrank mit Getränken, ein Wasserkocher für tisane und /) oder Tee und Kaffee, eine Bank für Koffer, ein Badezimmer mit allem Zubehör) und, auch wenn es nicht das Zimmer mit der Terrasse war, haben wir Ihnen ein schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf die Ruhe unseres Gartens gegeben. Es tut mir leid, dass die Frühstückszeit zu kurz und vielleicht zu früh war, aber man könnte es sagen und wir hätten Frühstück zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt und sogar im Zimmer arrangieren können. Wir machen es auf Anfrage! Wir haben diesen Zeitplan übernommen, weil wir beobachtet haben, dass die Gäste gerne früh aufbrechen, um Palermo mit frischer Luft zu besuchen, aber wir sind sehr flexibel, um alle Anforderungen des Zeitplans zu erfüllen. Wir organisieren auch Frühstück für diejenigen, die sehr früh am Morgen gehen .... Für das Parken, wenn Sie zwischen unseren Dienstleistungen lesen, geben wir keinen kostenlosen Parkplatz, aber wir geben Ratschläge für einige Garagen, die in dem Bereich vorhanden sind, der auf den Verkehr beschränkt ist und das Parken in der Garage oder außerhalb der Stadtmauern zur Verfügung stellt, und ich habe Sie davon mit einem Brief informiert! Es tut mir leid, dass Sie mir von diesen Problemen nicht erzählt haben und ich hoffe, dass Sie für einen Aufenthalt in der Terrassensuite nach Palermo zurückkehren werden. Après avoir été installé dans une chambre très sombre sans aération extérieure Chambre sinistre et très chère 85 euros pour la prestation,la propriétaire a entendu nos remarques et nous a proposé une autre chambre à l'étage spacieuse et plus aérée .Donc s'assurer avant la réservation de reserver une chambre à l'étage mais plus chère... Le B and B est très bien situé avec un patio pour déjeuner dehors Nous avons garé gratuitement notre voiture pendant 3 jours sur le foro italico ou umberto Pas de souci

Grazioso b&b nel centro storico di Palermo
Siamo stati in questo delizioso B&B durante il Ponte del 25 Aprile. Si tratta di una struttura collocata strategicamente fra la trafficata Via Roma ed il dedalo di vicoli del centro storico di Palermo, a due passi da luoghi di grande interesse, quali la Basilica della Martorana, il mercato della Vucciria, Ballarò, la Cattedrale di Palermo, i Quattro Canti, il Teatro Massimo ecc. Il B&B si trova all'interno di un palazzo storico carico di atmosfera, con un grazioso giardino interno. La proprietaria Signora Donatella ci ha subito accolto insieme al suo simpaticissimo gatto, dandoci tutte le informazioni necessarie per muoverci facilmente nelle vicinanze. Abbiamo soggiornato nella suite, molto grande ed arredata con gusto. Il bagno era pulito e dotato di ogni comfort. La colazione era abbondante e varia nella scelta. Nelle vicinanze ci sono molti ristoranti che offrono i piatti della classica tradizione palermitana, nonché un innumerevole quantità di chioschi, soprattutto nella zona dei mercati, in cui mangiare in velocità un "pani câ meusa"o uno spiedino con la "stigghiola". Siamo stati veramente bene al Giardini dell'Alloro, e speriamo di tornarci presto!

Gentile Ospite, grazie per avere soggiornato da noi e lasciato il tuo commento, molto importante per il nostro lavoro e per capire cosa possiamo migliorare. Noi siamo situati nel cuore del centro storico e la nostra città è in continua evoluzione e stiamo migliorando anche nei servizi. La pericolosità della nostra città è al pari di altre grandi città con tanti abitanti, basta stare attenti. Mi dispiace che non ritornerà a Palermo che è una bella e ricca città monumentale, piena di fascino e, grazie ai suoi monumenti, Palazzi e meravigliose Chiese (circa 700 in numero) è stata dichiarata Patrimonio dell’Unesco. Per questo motivo stiamo cambiando e ogni giorno è visibile nella città i cambiamenti positivi che altri ospiti notano, dalla creazione delle isole pedonali, alla chiusura alle macchine del centro storico, ai percorsi con bus-navette gratuite per tutti. Ci dia fiducia e torni nella nostra città, la troverà diversa! Un saluto da tutto lo staff :)

Très bon accueil de Muraly, Hotel agréable
Séjour trop court, 2 jours après le tour de l'île. C'est un bon emplacement pour se reposer, se ressourcer dans le patio. Dommage que l'état de la salle de bain soit mauvais. Si je reviens en Sicile, je reviendrai à B&B dell'Alloro.

Calme et confortable attention à votre voiture !!
Très mauvaise expérience ! Rien à dire sur le confort de l'hôtel mais malgré le parking fermé, des individus ont forcé la portière de ma voiture. Comme je devais partir tôt le dimanche matin je n'ai pas pu faire de déclaration à la police. Je ne reviendrai pas dans cet hôtel.

Hotel not well attended
The room was fine, but I couldn't connect to wifi (some phones could) and the swipe gadget didn't accept my card. The staff present were not equipped to deal with this and sent me out walking a long distance, early in the morning, to find a cash machine. After the time wasted I had to pay a taxi all the way to the aiport, which added considerably to my budget. The cat was very welcoming.

Nyrenoveret og roligt i centrum af Palermo
Absolut roligt hotel på trods af, at det ligger i centrum af Palermo. Nyrenoveret, så altid var lækkert og velfungerende. Lige bortset fra internettet, men det blev fikset i løbet af et par dage. Hotelejeren er italierne, men fuldstændig flydende i Engelsk, og kan give gode råd til hvordan man får mest ud af byen.

La chambre était propre, pas très lumineuse ni joliment décorée, mais spacieuse et confortable. Très bien la salle de bain. Le pass magnétique qui permettait d'accéder à la chambre avait un souci, du coup il fallait essayer plusieurs fois avant de pouvoir ouvrir la porte; de plus, à cause d'un souci d'affichage électronique lié à ce dysfonctionnement, une fois une employée est rentrée dans ma chambre alors que j'étais à l'intérieur ! L'hôtel est super bien placé, mais le quartier, très populaire, est très bruyant : les voisins s'engueulent et crient, parfois assez tard, et certains écoutent la musique dans leur voiture à tue-tête, garés en bas, les vitres ouvertes !

Séjour très agréable dans un quartier authentique du centre de Palerme. Instants de quiétude dans cet établissement alors que ce n'est pas la caractéristique première de cette ville trépidante. Le petit déjeuner dans la cour extérieure a été très agréable également. Personne responsable à l'accueil a été d'une amabilité extrême. Hôtel à recommander à tout point de vue.

En perfekt start og hjælp på ferien efter at være 3 timer forsinket og mistet bagagen. Manden til Chefen hentede og bragte os i lufthaven efter aftale og mod gebyr. Hyggelige, venlige og hjælpsomme personaler. Et rigtig godt udgangspunkt for at se og opleve Palermo.

B&B caratteristico nel cuore di Palermo
B&B in piena Via Alloro, via affascinante in un quartiere oggetto di forti ristrutturazioni. A due pasi dallo Spasimo e da Piazza Marina. Abbiamo avuto una camera grande e pulita. Anche il bagno era in ordine. Il problema è stato solo nella tv con digitale terrestre non funzionante e nella mancanza di un telefono in stanza. Colazione con cornetto e caffè, buona e semplice, ma nulla di più. Comunque giudizio positivo.
