A quiet and relaxing retreat
My wife and I with our dog stayed here for our anniversary to take a break from modern life. The interior is very nice, cozy and clean. The outdoor shower was great. Only thing i could critique is that there isnt any well kept grass for the dog to potty. We still managed but if you have a picky pup it may be something to consider.

Great Getaway
We love the outdoors so being nestled in the trees was a great treat. If you're worried about this tree house being "unstable" don't be. I was very impressed with the quality of the construction, materials, and amenities. This is NOT one of those rentals where they recycled some old stuff so they could have a rental place. I believe that it's less than two years old.

Great Treehouse
We loved our stay here! The treehouse was very clean and as described in the listing. We enjoyed the fire pit, outdoor shower, and roasting s’mores! Our two boys enjoyed being boys outside…who knew rocks and sticks would keep them busy ALL day! It was definitely the perfect space to unwind and enjoy being together. The host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We’ll be back!!

Wonderful time for our family. The outdoor area was a hit with the covered area, comfy hammock chairs, and awesome fire pit. Loved the outdoor shower and peaceful mornings having coffee on the deck with the birds. Hosts thought of everything and were very friendly!

Magical Get Away
The tree house was amazing! We just loved it. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. Only thing that would make it nicer is if bathroom was on upper level (for old people who get up in the night-haha) but still great. It was clean, well-stocked & the bedroom was absolutely adorable with the fabric ceiling & twinkling lights. I highly recommend it for a very relaxing stay in a unique environment. We were fortunate that we had perfect weather-which would be a big part of the experience. Thank you, Jim for sharing your magical place.

Fun weekend getaway with our dog
My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend with our cattle dog, and everything was great! There's lost of space to roam around, have a fire, hammock, play games, and cook or grill. The outdoor shower was really nice and had hot water. And the firewood was replenished each day, which I didn't expect but it was very appreciated!

The best weekend getaway!!

Honestly, this place is so charming. I had a personal getaway and it was lovely. Bastrop is an easy drive if you want to head into town, but everything you need is there in the property. Highly recommend!

This is the first time we spent night in treehouse. It was a great pleasure. The property was clean and has all the amenities that needed. The coffee machine was really good, the upper deck with chair and tables is ideal to have a cup of coffee and watch the calmness of nature! The oven, the fire pit, the hammock and the dining area all are perfect. We really loved this stay.

Awesome Getaway!
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved it! The treehouse & property were both extremely clean and the bed was so comfortable. It did get a little chilly at night in the shower, but it wasn't terrible. The gravel road is a little bumpy, but not steep and easily accessible. We've already talked about booking another stay. Perfect weekend getaway.

Birthday get away!
This place is magical! There is something special about it. Lazy day time naps in the hammock chair and a fire when the cold front blew in made it even better. We ate some of the best food ever at all the places near by. What a perfect place to go. We are already planning our next trip to stay at the properties other treehouse! Hands down one of the best trips it far exceeded my expectations. The owner was fantastic! Highly recommend, 5/5 stars!!

Great unique place to stay! Close enough to Bastrop to grab something to eat! Had fun just walking around the 40 acres! If it is too windy the treehouse does move, so if you get car sick/ motion sickness that is something to keep in mind!

This was a very cool experience. It was like staying in the trees! Shower was a fun and interesting experience! Very quiet yet adventurous. I stayed here with my wife and we had a lot of fun. Trails made you feel like you are in middle of woods. Hosts were very responsive, friendly and nice.

This was such a lovely place to stay at! My bff and I stayed her for her birthday. I asked if they could put a cute note somewhere in the house for her birthday. They hung up a banner and hid little happy birthday signs for her to find. It was extremely thoughtful, and cute. The property was very beautiful and quiet, the shower was amazing! Great water pressure. It was very comfortable to stay here I will definitely be recommending to people and staying again!!

Stayed one night and enjoyed everything about the property and unit. Very clean and well thought out. AC unit inside the treehouse and a very comfortable bed. Really fun and functional outdoor shower. We enjoyed walking the grounds of the property and seeing the other units and nature. Only thing to consider are those late night trips down the stairs to the bottom floor bathroom!

Go ahead and click the book button. You'll have zero regrets. The property is easy to find. Check in was simple. The hosts have thought of everything. Just bring your food and personal items. Complimentary water, a very well appointed coffee bar, eco-friendly soaps for the outdoor shower, everything you need to cook, including foil and spices are there. Don't be intimidated by the incinerating toilet. It's so simple to use. There literally is no bad smells at all. The pad site has all the comforts you want to be able to cook, enjoy the fire ring or pod chairs. The area is safe and secluded. Well lit at night (you're in control with easy to access switches so you can enjoy the pitch black too.)The seating areas on the deck of the yurt are comfortable and in perfect position for the best times of day to enjoy the view and the sunset & many stars. Highly recommend.

Madison and her precious son greeted us and kicked off our stay with a tour and welcome at check in, and from there we had no questions about the amenities and equipment to make Elf’s Aerie a home away from home IN A TREE!
