Welcome to this charming house in Pahoa with ocean view from the deck. This terrific property features 2 bedrooms with a king and queen bed, 2 bathrooms and as additional living room space with futon. Guests can enjoy whale calling in the winter months and catch a glimpse of whale, dolphin and green sea turtles splashing.   • In 1790 a swift moving lava flow leveled the forest here and drained away, leaving behind a new forest of "lava trees". These hollow rock columns were formed when the lava wrapped around the cool tree trunks and quickly solidified. When the molten lava drained away, these rock columns were left standing. The columns are hollow because the tree trunks themselves were incinerated during the process, but only after the rock had cooled enough to hold it's shape. If you look closely, you can sometimes see the texture of the tree bark in the rock molds.

Nice location

House is located fairly close to Volcano National Park and other parks. Host is very friendly and responsive to questions. Nice place to stay.

Great house near the ocean!

Our family had a great visit in Pahoa. The house had everything we needed, including an ocean view from the lanai. It's in a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds. We arrived later than expected after going to Mauna Kea. Cee messaged us to let us know she turned the lights on and a direct number if we had any problems finding the house in the dark. Definitely recommended!! Thank you, Cee, for sharing your home with us!

Neighborly Aloha

Very friendly and involved host, extending true aloha and just downstairs incase needs come up. No hottub but a nice Rainforest lava flow coastal experience
