This place was an absolutely delight to stay at. I spent one night here while purchasing a car from Nelson. The room was amazing value for money, everything was tidy and clean and I probably had the best shower of my life 😊. The manager was very friendly I would highly recommend this place to anyone as it’s the best value for money I’ve ever spent. - Shane Goldsmith

Absolutely fantastic motel - modern rooms, very clean and has everything you could possibly need. We were extremely impressed - had recycling bins and even listed the radio station freq for the alarm clock. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts - we could not find fault at all. Only disappointment will be once everyone else knows about this motel we won't be able to get a room again. Double glazed window also meant so quiet too...we travel often and you can clearly see why this facility has won...

From the moment we entered the room it had that wow factor and the bed next to the spa topped it all off. It was just a wonderful layout both upstairs and down. We were even asked what type of milk we would like, never had that luxury before. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great for the wife as the shopping plaza is right across the road. We will be back to stay again soon.

This motel was great. Was able to walk to the university and into the centre of Palmerston easily. Room was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and had a kitchenette with microwave, bar fridge, electric fry pan so you can easily cater for yourself. The manager was fantastic and friendly and very knowledgable about things to do around the area. Highly recommend this place.

It's so nice to stay in a Motel with lovely crisp sheets, spotlessly clean unit and a welcome environment. Haven't had this in a long time. Price reasonable too. Great location. Quiet room.

Lovely staff who are very helpful. The room was very clean and fresh. Water pressure is great in the shower! Plenty of heating options - we especially loved the bathroom heater and heated towel rail. Would definitely recommend.

The best area to stay in Pahiatua is within the town centre, particularly around Main Street and Mangahao Road.
This central area is the heart of Pahiatua, offering easy access to local amenities and the town's character. You'll find the main shops, cafes, and local services concentrated along Main Street, making it very convenient for exploring on foot. The War Memorial Park is also centrally located, providing a pleasant green space.

When is the best time to go to Pahiatua?
The best time to visit Pahiatua is during the summer months, from December to February, when the weather is warm and sunny.
During this period, you can expect average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The long daylight hours mean you have more time to explore the local area, including the Tui Brewery in Mangatainoka or the various walking tracks in the Tararua Forest Park, which are just a short drive away. This season is superb for those who enjoy being outdoors and want to make the most of the pleasant New Zealand summer.
Alternatively, the shoulder seasons of spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) also offer good conditions. Spring brings wildflowers and milder temperatures, typically between 15°C and 20°C, which is lovely for exploring the rural countryside and visiting local gardens. Autumn provides settled weather and beautiful changing colours in the landscape, with similar temperatures to spring.
