About this property
Cabin Retreat in the Woods - Hot Tub, Grill, Firepit, Ski at White Pass, Hiking
Welcome to Baby Bear Cabin. Newly constructed, cozy cabin with 50-jet hot tub under the stars. Cabin is situated down a quiet, well maintained dirt road in the forest near Mt. Rainier National Park and White Pass Ski Resort. One-half mile to Packwood's downtown restaurants and shops. Perfect for a small family or romantic getaway.
The cabin has been constructed with wood accents throughout to give it a rustic appeal. There are three separate sleeping areas and a bathroom on all three floors. There is a washer & dryer on the lower level.
When you are outside, you can hear Hall Creek flowing back in the woods which really does give you a sense of "being away from it all". Enjoy grilling on the propane bbq & eating dinner in the fresh air at the outdoor dining table - both on the back deck.
On clear days we have a beautiful view of Mount Rainier out the living room window and in the evening we have a wonderful 50-jet hot tub waiting for you to relax away in while you gaze at the stars. Enjoy sitting around the campfire roasting s'mores.

We had a fantastic stay! The cabin’s location was perfect—close to Packwood and all the beautiful river spots we explored. It was such a treat to return each day to a cozy, well-equipped space. We’ll definitely be coming back!
It was an amazing place to stay!! The hosts are very communicative, and have made sure there is everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. I am looking forward to going back in the future!!
We really enjoyed our visit to your cabin. Everything that we needed was at the property to make our stay a success. The location was perfect for our hiking trip to Rainer. JPS
We loved our stay in this roomy cabin! It was clean , spacious, & had everything we needed plus more. Also loved the hot tub. The host was quick to answer any questions I had & very friendly.
We enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and beds comfortable. The setting was lovely - we enjoyed our meals on the deck amongst the trees. The location was ideal, near Mt. Rainier and the small town of Packwood. I would love to stay again. I highly recommend this property.
This space is perfect! close to town and close to the mountain. The house is set up very well. Kitchen is very well appointed. Hot tub was very clean and so was the entire house. Communication with the owners was quick, easy and timely! I would stay here again without question.
I loved our stay at this cute cabin. It's very easy to get to White Pass from here. The cabin was clean and spacious with a nice hot tub. It's the kind of place where you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the guest experience. Very nice touches throughout which don't go unappreciated!
We had a wonderful weekend at this Packwood cabin. Great layout of rooms for multiple kids. Well stocked kitchen! Lots of games. And most of all it was SO CLEAN!!
Baby Bear cabin was a standout in our series of lodging throughout our two weeks in WA. I wish we could have stayed longer! Clean, cozy, all the amenities we needed and lots of extra little touches to make it a perfect stay. Great location to explore the park. Highly recommend!
My family and I enjoyed a 2 night stay in this well kept, and well located cabin. Perfect size for our family of 4, the queen beds downstairs were in their own alcove which provided some wanted privacy for our teens. Upper deck was a tranquil refuge and shaded from afternoon heat. We'd stay here again.
Very comfortable home for two couples. It was a little odd that the bathroom on the main floor, with no bedrooms, had a tub/shower, but the one downstairs, where there are two bedrooms, didn't have a tub OR shower.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
This cabin is situated just outside of Packwood and close to White Pass. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. We did not utilize all the amenities, but the setting with the hot tub and forest is a welcoming place to relax. The cabin is very clean and is extensively stocked with every little thing you might need during your stay. We can’t wait to visit again!
This cabin was fantastic! It was super clean and gave us all the space we needed. We used this cabin for a family trip to Mt. Rainer with our two teenage children. Having the master bedroom upstairs and the two separate sleeping spaces downstairs was perfect! The hot tub was amazing and we even saw elk from the back balcony. The cabin is tucked away down a quiet street but only minutes away from town where there is a grocery store and a couple of restaurants.
This was such a beautiful home. It's only 30 minutes away from White Pass, had everything we needed, felt like a home away from home, and gave everybody enough privacy. We had a fantastic time. The option to use a hottub after a long day on the mountain was a huge plus. The rules were layed out clearly and were easy to follow. We will definitely be back.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
We booked this cabin for a ski trip to White Pass. The three levels gave us plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out. The kitchen was nicely equipped for cooking meals and the beds were all comfortable. The cabin was conveniently located about 25 min from the mountain and a 3 min drive to the grocery store. We all enjoyed time in the hot tub as well. It was too cold to use the grill/deck or firepit, but I imagine those would be nice amenities in other seasons. Liz and Jordan were good about replying to all messages within a reasonable amount of time.
This facility was in a quiet, wooded, peaceful setting just outside of "downtown" Packwood. The Baby Bear cabin seemed to be in spotless condition. The interior decor features lots of wood, which we loved. The advance and onsite communication and instructions from the owners was clear and helpful. We loved our stay!
I suppose the only negative was that the king bed on the upper level was pretty squishy/hammocky and not very comfortable for two senior citizens. That being said, I highly recommend this facility!
We had a fantastic time at Baby Bear cabin. There was loads of room for our family of four, the cabin is lovely and the hot tub is great after a long day of walking. The main drag in Packwood is a 10 minute walk or so - Packwood Brewing Co is a fun and family friendly bar with live music outside and fine views. It was also lovely to wake up in the morning to a view of Mt Rainier from our bedroom window. Liz was very helpful, quick to respond to messages and left a lovely welcome pack. We would definitely recommend a stay here and would love to return some day.
We had a wonderful stay! The seemingly endless forest out back was fun for the kids to trounce around in, building a fire and having s'mores was a first for them as well. The hot tub was perfect! Inside the home was immaculate, all updated and fully furnished. The best part, everything in the kitchen was labeled!!! So it wasn't hard to find what we needed to cook with etc. All the kitchenware was in great condition which was a first for me. If you're looking for a quiet getaway this is the one! Will visit again!!
Great option when one needs several different sleeping areas although only king has separate bedroom door. Other sleeping area are more open (yet private), including the queens being in different areas downstairs. Kitchen is small, but decks are lovely, game cabinet is amazing, TV and gaming set (we did not use) are options. Hot tub and outside campfire area are huge pluses. Easy to fine from Packwood and so close! Steps up (or down) to front door and to all sleeping areas. Kitchen also had plenty of basic cooking/baking pantry items.
Nice location, warm and cozy interior. The grill was listed as part of the rental and there was no mention that it might not be usable during the colder months(we are very much grill master regardless of the time of year). The grill was gross and dirty, looked like mold was growing in it. Attempted to clean it with the grill wipes and cleaning brush found under the sink. Gave up and just used the burners, bummer but otherwise a nice stay with lot is sleeping area for larger groups.
