"We absolutely loved our stay at Guatemala Dreams. Our hosts Jonty and Kimberly are exceptional. They went above and beyond meeting our needs. Even giving us a zuccini when the market we walked to was closed and we still wanted to cook on the deck. They also arranged a hike for us with our lovely guide, Chico, to see ancient Mayan ruins. driver to get us back to the airport via a tstop at some more ruins. The hot tub and sauna were wonderful and picturesque. "We have traveled to Antigua annually for 10 years. The typical hotels we had stayed in were booked and we were thrilled when we discovered this location. The reason we enjoyed our stay includes: quiet location off the beaten track, excellent hospitality, beautiful accommodations, affordable. Estela and David were personable, answered questions, made sure we were satisfied with our stay and made us feel like we were at home. I was sick the first day and they made me tea and made sure we had...

Hotel y Cafe La Casa del Mundo

10/10 Excellent

"So magical ✨ Such a beautiful place with wonderful staff! The room was gorgeous with a view of the water and the property is insane with so many places to sit and beautiful foliage. We felt very welcomed and the staff are very accommodating. We didn’t utilize this but if you need they will hold your luggage for you after you checkout so you can keep enjoying the property! We booked kayaks through the hotel and highly recommend. The view is perfect! We ate at the restaurant for dinner once and twice for breakfast. The quality was always great! We did enjoy the breakfast more than the dinner if you are choosing just one. For transportation you can only access the hotel via lancha. Every lancha driver knows Casa del Mundo so they drop you right at the dock. Lanchas stop after sunset so you have to plan accordingly and this can make getting dinner outside the hotel tricky. The hotel keeps everything on a tab for you and you pay at checkout. They take cash, Venmo, and PayPal so just make sure you are prepared. Can’t recommend staying here enough it was so magical!"
