The cottage was lovely. All the amenities you could need, quiet, clean, comfortable. Hot tub was fabulous. We snowshoed and skied right behind in the woods. Highly recommended!

The Hot Tub after a Bruce Trail Hike was perfect. The host was easy to communicate with and had suggestions for trail hikes.
The red house is the perfect spot for a quiet weekend getaway. Absolutely beautiful private location, fully equipped stay with the perfect hot tub to relax in. The near by shops and restaurants are worth exploring. This is my favourite spot to stay in the area.
This is my favourite fall getaway. This gem of a cottage is the place to unplug, enjoy nature, the hot tub and a cozy fire and a movie at night. Love, love, love this place!
The Red House was a great spot for my friends and I to unwind on a rainy weekend. The Flying Chestnut - a 4 minute drive away - was an excellent recommendation for dinner. The woodstove was wonderful, and we were stocked with ample wood to keep us warm throughout the weekend. Great space for socializing and we were all comfortable. Thank you for having us!
Wonderful stay at the Red House! Clean, bright and spacious, the cabin feels like a home away from home. We visited last year and loved it so much we came back! Enjoyed walking our dog in the snowy forest behind the house. Lots of birdsong and deer tracks along the trails! Hot tub, fireplace, and gorgeous tall windows made the Red House a perfect winter getaway.
Such a lovely, cozy space; lots of character with elegant touches. Eager to get back in the fall sometime to take in the coziness of the woodstove.
The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and the blind in the kids room actually kept the room dark and the kids slept in! No greater joy than that!
It was a wonderful vacation spot to explore the area and visit with family. Lots of room to relax, and have space after a long car drive up from NS. The kids loved the campfire, and I loved the hot tub when they were all in bed. A full kitchen and BBQ made meals easy. I took photos of the mudroom/entryway as inspiration when I redo my own entrance way.
Great little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Other than the mosquitos that absolutley adore me everywhere i go, it was what id like to experience everyday in retirement. Thanks Marcia
The cottage was the perfect escape from normal life. We had a great time with friends and hiking and exploring the small towns around the cottage. We would certainly come back again!
Celebrated our parents 80th birthday. Place was perfect for us! Everything that we needed was there. Really nice cottage feel. Had great backyard fire. Could do a small walk in the woods right from property. Minutes away from waterfalls a s hiking trail.
Love this place and the area however same couch from over 10 yrs ago stank like wet dog so bad made my dog stink pkease through out old cloth chairs and couch other then that place is all set up. Love however at the triple cost of when last rented nothing done to it I wont rent it again
Marcia was a great host. The cabin was really woodsy and yet was within minutes to groceries and some of the most lovely trails. Marcia was super helpful with info about the local trails too. Kitchen equipment was very good, and the whole place was super clean. The outdoor hot tub was absolutely perfect - when it worked. Marcia was just as disappointed as we were that the hot tub was not cooperating. And she did everything possible to make that happen for us - which it did eventually. All in all, a really delightful cabin in the woods.
This is a lovely spot surrounded by a cedar forest, an easy walk to Eugenia Falls. Looks like there have recently been some updates/renovations to the house, but a few things remain to be done. The sliding glass doors to the deck need to be replaced (the owner had advised us that it was best not to use the big door out to the BBQ as it comes off it’s tracks, and I didn’t want to be the one to break it permanently). Apparently the doors are on order. Hopefully there will be screens as well, as the mosquitoes swarm at certain times of day. We weren’t able to open any windows in the main living area because they were covered in plastic, but windows in the bedrooms were all operational with screens. The oven also broke just before we arrived, but the BBQ is relatively new, just in need of a scrub. Highlights were the hot tub (very clean and actually hot!) and a very nice fire pit with views of the stars at night. A great spot if you want to hike the Bruce Trail.
This was a beautiful home. It had a well equipped kitchen and was very spacious. We enjoyed the beautiful deck, the campfire and the hot tub. It was so nice to be surrounded by nature. The home was also very clean and our hostess Marcia was easy to be in touch with.
Everything was nice, the older feel made it feel different than just being at home with all the bells and whistles, you had heat when you needed it and cool fans when you needed that. Kitchen, washroom, rooms and hot tub were respectable too. No complaints, the host was a blast too. It is really close to many attractions in the area, be it Wasaga, Blue Mountain, etc. Things to do in bad weather and places to go in good weather. 10/10
Very hard to get any details on this property from the host. I was scared we were being scammed, countless messages sent with no response. It also mentioned that pets are allowed but then we were charged and additional deposit after the trip for having our pet there(after already paying a pet fee). The building is very old and although it has new paint there are some key beams that look like they are about to fall in. Would not recommend this property or host.
