The drive and parking area are filled with broken concrete and pot holes. Three storage containers were in the parking lot. I assume they were for a remodel because the interior was nice and clean. Breakfast offered a good variety. Pool was nice.

I liked that the rooms were updated in their look and style and it also included a Pool. The Staff also took care of the request I made for additional towels and toiletries. What I didn't like was the accessibility to the parking lot and the amount of potholes and limited parking there was. Parking lines were faded, so lots of people were double parking. Large groups of people were hanging outside the entrance smoking and drinking (around 20 per night, every night I was there), and within the Lobby area. Drink machines didn't work either, nor sell water, and the Pool area had black mold on the ceiling.

The room had didn’t have much light even with all the lights on. Vending machine at my money a few times. Only had one bag to use. I use for dirty clothes and there were 2 people

Interior of facility was clean and you can tell that remodeling is being done. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze. But if i was just driving by im not sure id of stayed. They outside wasnt very pleasing to your eye.

Attempted to stay here. Upon arrival, hotel sign was busted , parking lot looked like a land mine field with pot holes everywhere, construction trailer box sitting on the ground close to the entry and appeared as though the hotel was close. No signs on the building or address on the building. When trying to check in was told I did not have a reservation. I showed them my Hotels.com receipt and they didn't care and told me that I shouldn't have used a third party to make a reservation. We left and Hotels.com made things right by giving a full refund. Unfortunately had an unexpected 6hr ride home...

Quality service at Quality Hotel
Nice place, they are remodeling, so looks messy, but what they have done, is a nice touch. Need new windows, so you can open Super...customer service, great Breakfast/coffee in the AM Move the smoking away from the building....Everyone was so nice, and and it showed that they cared.

Hotel is doing some great remodeling. Will be super nice when finished. Our room was a little on the small side but it was just my niece and myself. We were fine. Iur room had been recently remodel. Very nice.

Staff was very nice and even gave me a free upgraded room. Everything was clean and the rooms were a bit outdated but I did happen to see the rooms they were re-doing and they looked so nice! The only thing that threw me off was the towel situation. You had to bring dirty towels to the front to get clean ones but then again I was staying at a hotel with an entire baseball team and I’m sure they needed a million towels.

The outside property is a bit messy. Lots of holes in the lot. Three big dumpster out front too. Kinda made for a rough first impression. Room was great though and pillows were fluffy. Pool and hot tub were excellent!

Don’t stay there.
When we pulled up to the parking lot it had huge potholes that you could barely get around and there are people outside with a barbecue grill with beer and alcohol and a bunch of people like they were at a park. There is trash everywhere in the parking lot. The carpet in the room looked like it had not been vacuumed it looked dirty like it had things spilled all over it. The room smelled like mold and there was an old moldy air freshener in the closet. The hallway smelled dirty I had to hold my breath walking down the hallway to leave the hotel. The people hanging out outside the hotel looked very shady and I would never take my family there if I had little kids. I will never stay at the quality Inn in Ottumwa Iowa ever again and I may not use hotels.com. It was an overall bad experience and they had signs hanging up saying that they had won awards back in 2017. If they had won awards they wouldn’t win any now.

3 day stay was okay
The room looked clean, but the rug turned my feet black. Outside screen was hanging off and the windows were quite dirty. The hot tub had a leak that wet the hall floor continually. They had fans on to dry the floor, but really needed to empty the hot tub and get it fixed. The breakfast was good, the extra cookies at night was a great touch. The bed was clean, but too soft for my taste. The management was very helpful, and the staff was always smiling.

Really Great Place to Stay!
Older hotel is well-kept with fairly new carpeting, paint, and furniture. Staff provides excellent service. Would give them more stars if I could. About the parking lot... The lot itself is fine. The short road that leads to it is horrible. I suspect that road is not owned by the hotel as there is another lot off of the road that is also in horrible shape. The road may be a shared road.

The room was your average room, and it was ok. But unless you were hooked up to wifi, you could kiss communication goodbye. No calls or texting, not even in the parking lot. Oh, the parking lot...just the thought makes my back hurt! It is just a series of different sized potholes! We stayed at this place maybe 15 years ago and the parking lot is still as bad as it was back then! I really think we'll be giving this one a pass from now on, unless we are desperate. We decided to give it another try, because it had been so long. But now it's in the last resort category.
