Pros: Has a Greek feel to their design The staff is great! They set up my whale shark swim, plus made sure I was on one of the first boats! Reasonable prices on bottles of water. Relaxing sound of waves. Relaxing music all night. Cons: Lots of steps involved The pool wasn't very clean The Tv signal is nonexistent I enjoyed my stay here and the staff. The steps don't bother a mountain climber, and the view is beautiful! If I had a reason to return, I would.

You couldn’t leave the place for outside dinner because steps to go out of place to get taxi or take forever and there were at least 10 rungs of stairs to climb! You need to be in hiking shape to stay at this place! Hotel doesn’t take credit card for food so bring lots and lots of pesos with you

The view is great. I have not seen a better one. There are about 270 steps to get to the hotel. It’s hard to climb more than 1 to 2 times per day.

220 steps to your room.
My brother-in-law and we travelled together, and we have two separate reservations at this hotel last night. First of all, there are 220 steps to our room from the lobby. And to check-in, we need to go 40 more steps to the reception. My brother-in-law has a bad knee, and he had to check-in to a different hotel. For me, I now have a sprained knee after all the ups and downs. Luggage had be zipped-line down to the room. I blame both Hotels.com and the Hotel for not letting us know about the steps. I demand the refund from either hotels.com and/or the hotel. This is a one-star hotel. TV was broken, room was so dated, shower splashes water all over the bathroom, and there is no wi-fi. This hotel is a real joke. To be fair, staff tried everything to make your stay less miserable.

It’s beautiful view from the top, the beach is very clean, sandy with rocks. I love the 500 steep down because it’s hardcore cardio. This resort is not for old people, who have height issues and weak legs. But I love so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏

We are not aware of the 260 steps to take to go down and up in this properly. I have my 81 year old mother with me. None enough variety of food in the menu. We were booked for 6 nights 7 days, outside food or drinks were not allowed. Their beach are not good for swimming, too much rocks. The swimming pools does not look the same as on the website. It is a lot smaller and the jacuzzis are not functioning. Internet is very poor even in the lobby. No internet in the rooms as stated on the website. It was boring, no entertainment or anything. The only nice thing about this place aside from the staff is the view from the top. It was amazing!!

Huge disappointment
Don't waste your money going there. Horrible place to stay. Way overpriced for what you get. Food and drinks very expensive. 5 star price for 1 star place. Aircon in room not working, so management and owners solution was to give us a fan. Lots of hidden charges. Jacuzzi not working. Found a dead rat in the Jacuzzi. Staff took out the dead rat and then proceeded to fill the Jacuzzi without emptying it first and sanitizing it before refill. Place is completely run down. Would NOT recommend it to anyone. Plenty of other cheaper and I'm sure nicer places to stay in Oslob.

I AM amazed about this review. Make up story of this guest. Seafari team did his outmost: Aircon no problem at all after check maintenance.Real problem is the physical condition (overweight) of the huisband. We offered extra fan, refused.we offered change one bedroom to standard extra Aircon room for free.All refused by guest, guest was after refund/discount which Seafari refused. Our good and drinks are good fresh quality less expensive than in city restaurants. The guest also order and eat a lot! So bad review out of revanche for no refund

We booked two beds and payed for it. They tried to put us in a room with one bed. I explained that I was with my brother and needed two beds. They tried to say I was getting an upgrade but the room matched the pictures online for the room I paid for. There is no WiFi service and they would not give me a light blanket or pillow . There is not a safe at all. Except for two staff members, the staff is not happy and is put out when you order food! The pool is so cloudy , we did not get in it! This place could be amazing- the views are so great and located ideally! Did not mind the stairs! Never heard of having to pay for a pillow

DO NOT STAY HERE. No where does it state that a climb of over 100+ stairs is required for you to get to the rooms. There is a lift, but it was out of service. Even if it wasnt, it is a flimsy contraption that does not look safe (think small metal cage hung over a ledge). Leveraged on the long climb in and out of the hotel by selling neccesities at exorbidant rates (40peso for 500ml of drinking water when norm is 15peso). No wifi. First notice in room says "water supply in day is limited, expect water to be salty as drawn from deep well". Toilet paper provided is 1 ply. Staff tried to hardsell their own taxi service by deliberately refusing to flag down punlic bus for you. Same tactic to hardsell scuba services instead of snorkling by refusing to help procure snorkling passes for whalesharks in a timely fashion. DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

We came with a large group of almost 15people needing several rooms. Beautiful location and view. Be warned of the many stairs, there is no elevator. The staff is over the top excellent and extremely helpful. When we checked out I asked for help with all our luggage. I said to the staff we have a lot of luggage he responded "yes sir, theres a lot of us". Thats when I knew they have a great staff at that hotel. The room I had AC and it was nice and cold. The only thing I thought they need to update is their check-in system, its paper and pen which will cause confusion when reserving several rooms.

Terrible experience, the only positive thing is the view! We were ok with the steps as this had been mentioned on the booking site so we were aware of this. The staff were rude and we had to go looking for assistance from the onset, even eating at the restaurant they wouldn't even bother to walk down to the table to take our order we had to order before we sat down. No wifi. Television didn't work. Pool was filthy. Definitely wouldn't stay again.

Hotel needs attention
The hotel is in bad condition and cleanliness is below par. Although the location is great, the grounds and sorroundings can be bettered by cleaning. The room we stayed is ok, the food is ok too. If only the hotel management will concentrate on cleanliness of the grounds and sorroundings this hotel has loads of potentials. It doesnt help that the hotel is like a construction site and noisy. In fairness, staffs are friendly and helpful although at times we feel that they can benefit from management and guidance. I cannot recommend this hotel and if ever will come back in Oslob we would defintely use another hotel.

Our stay was just ok. There are about 265 stairs that lead down to the main area of the hotel and no elevator. We are in decent shape, but it took some work getting back up to the top. The hotel is currently under renovation as well (I hope they add an elevator). The room was comfortable and the place offers nice views. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was good. They make you sign an agreement not to bring outside food and beverages into the hotel. I didn't think that was appropriate. Overall, I would rate our stay as average. I would not stay again due to the stairs and the distance to all the activities in town. I would find a place in town instead.

The hotel has around 265 steps down a steep hill to the reception desk and restaurant. No elevator. The hotel is also undergoing renovation. It was also further from the main town than I thought. I also didn't like the fact that they made you sign a statement stating that you could not bring food or beverages onto the property. You have to buy from them or eat out...after climbing 265 stairs and getting to town. That being said. the room was nice and the food in the restaurant was good. I would not stay there again, however.

This place is not for the elderly nor weak heart since you have to go down 100 steps to get to the checkin area. It's a hike to walk back up to the street level. Forget it if you have luggage. I got 3 rooms and 1 room had to be on top of the hill. Still a hike but not convenient for the family. They wanted to charge extra to move to a smaller vacant room located in the lower area. Staff were nice but no one can make a decision to make your stay comfortable.

Good view horrible food for what they are priced. When you first get there make you throw away all good and drinks and then go down 257 steps to make it to check in area.. Nothing to eat nearby except chips across the street at a convenience store.. of coarse you would have to go up 257 steps to get there.. not worth it ... so they KNOW you will spend money on food. They can at least make the food tastier. Good was the worst I've had in the Philippines ... sorry to say... fries taste just like vinegar ...

Accommodations are fairly average, and the support staff were moderately helpful. The resort itself has an amazing and refreshing view of the ocean, which seems to be its only redeeming quality. It is probably not the most accessible out of places to stay (note the 65-step descent to reach the lowest area of the resort) and a rather slow Internet connection. But overall we would consider coming back again for the view!

Extremely disappointed in this disgusting "resort"
This place completely misrepresented their facility in their photographs. I was in complete shock when we arrived at this so-called resort. The entrance was a mess and loaded with construction materials. A security guard stood with a few shirtless locals hanging around him. He made us sign a waiver and told us that alcoholic beverages aren't permitted or you risk a php1000 fine. Then, you had to walk down 250-300 steps to get to the "check in" area. Our reservation was not found and after waiting 30 minutes, the owner Leo had asked his staff member to bring me to him. He showed me his email inbox to prove my reservation did not exist. It only took a minute for me to notice the email sent by Expedia with my name on the title! And when he realized that a mistake was made, he made no apologies. My room was not available and we were given 2 disgusting rooms. I wanted to leave but didnt want to climb 300 steps to do so. It was late. The rooms were filthy, ugly and is in terrible shape. It had two twin beds pushed together without blankets and was described as a king bed. The ref stunk and had 3 tiny random liquor bottles that looked old being displayed as their mini bar. The pricing was handwritten on an index card. The room was a joke! I couldn't believe it. The food was not edible as it tasted awful. The pool was murky, the grounds were unkept. was lucky to be in good company who made everything a laugh. I was grossed out of this place and was bitten by bed bugs!!!

Nice hotel but too pricy.
Stairs is too much, very tiring. We have to get everything before going back to the hotel or else you have to climb back 200 steps to the stairs. We asked the staff to clean our room before we leave for a tour but when we came back it is not done. Also, the number they left for contact is out of coverage area so we left a message on their facebook page but still we already checked in and that's the only time they read our message. Nice hotel and staff, beautiful view but too pricy.

I'm not recommending for family...
I'm not recommending the hotel to a family because the place is not convenient to climb up and down.. not good for our old parents that need to climb up and down to the very stiff stone staircase. The staff is not that friendly, I've been to a lot of hotels but here staff are not that accommodating. The service is very slow... and also for the wifi, they should advertise that the wifi is very effective only in their bar/resto and not include in their own rooms... I expect a lot when I booked this hotel but sorry I'm not happy about it...

This hotel had a lot of problems. They lost power the first day we were there. The second day they were running on a generator and they informed us that we couldn't use our air conditioner and they lost power again. We checked out after the first day.

Nice hotel, just let down by facilities
This hotel was stunning overlooking the water from our room. Main issue is that the hotels water supply wasn't working because the local waterfall had dried up and wasn't providing water. When talking to other travellers at other hotels/hostels they had water. This wasn't a cheap hotel either in the area. The water came on at 8pm but was still salty. Air conditioning was great, but Windows had a gap at the top which I had to put towels to stop hot air coming in. Not sure if I would stay there again but next door to whale shark diving

Not at all as advertised. The AC did not work, the wifi did not work, the service was terrible (although the food was good when it arrived). Nothing about what was advertised by the website or other information was very accurate. It served its purpose as a place to stay the night, but beyond that nothing. This hotel has a lot to do to make it a great, or even a good place to stay.

Selected this hotel for its proximity to the whale shark diving. It did not disappoint. Only setback is the massive amount of stairs from the cliff top to the beach. Would stay here again. A step up from your basic beach bungalow.

Go somewhere else.
This place was super disappointing. We booked it for 3 nights, and left after one. Honestly we would have left sooner if there had been internet to book something elsewhere. (The internet does not work at seafari. They only have it set up in the "bar" area, where is doesn't work anyway). When we finally got them to load a new sim card into their system, we had internet for just long enough to book a different hotel and leave. Just to be clear, we are not complainers and have NEVER left a hotel before. I understand that the Philippines have very different standards than the US and other countries, but they also have lower costs overall- making this place outrageously expensive for what it is. Why was it terrible? 1. No internet 2. Extremely overpriced overall 3. Horrible rooms/ bathrooms (the photos are not accurate at all) 4. Everything is old and worn and in bad shape. 5. Stairs, stairs, and more stairs. My boyfriend and I are athletic and in shape people, but this place is literally exhausting. It is a labyrinth of stairs everywhere you turn. You have to sign a waver just to enter, as they zip line your bags down the cliff, while you proceed down approximately 1000+ stairs to the hotel. (I won't say 'resort' as I think it could be classified more easily alongside a Motel6) Positives: 1. The staff was nice enough, and we honestly just felt bad for them as they carried our bags back up the 1000 stairs (no zipline up) 2. I laughed really hard when I saw the room.
everytime you leave, walk these stairs. This isn't even all of them...
