Anniversary trip
We were so amazed at how close our door was to the beach. The views from our room were amazing. The weather could have been better(it was beautiful the day we left!) but we enjoyed every moment we had there. Will definitely go back.

Beauty of Lake Huron
Quaint small cabin located on the shore of Lake Huron. Perfect place to downshift from the hectic pace of worn and the city. We had a wonderful time on the beach and enjoying the many state parks, lighthouses and National Forest! Plenty of activities to take part in or just relax on the lakeside - this place has everything. (Except traffic!! Which makes it all the better!)

scenic view, clean, well equpiped
Beachfront unit. Kitchen well equipped. Could have used extra blankets. Very cold at night. There was some kind of heater on the wall but I couldn't get it to work. Nice that they allowed pets.

I loved the location of this property. Right on the beach. Beautiful view. The accommodations were a bit rough. Flies (lots) to deal with on entering the tiny bungalow. Thin walls so every sound was amplified. Only a bed (comfy) and sofa (that needs to be replaced - I wouldn’t sit on it). No place to relax inside. The kitchen and bathroom were fine and the shower was awesome. So there’s that. Mostly you’re outdoors so a lot of this is really just about comfort in the overnight hours or if there’s inclement weather. I’d go again now just knowing it’s a bit rough. Not expecting more, it’s just fine. The essentials and nothing more.

Beautiful get away
This was a perfect little spot for my kids and I! It was so nice not having to pack up and go anywhere we had everything we needed right there. Hearing the sounds of the waves with the windows open was so relaxing, all the neighbors were wonderful as well! I will definitely be coming back!

Cool weather couldn't wait!!!
Everything was great except for the wobbly floor by the front door that I kept forgetting about when I stepped on the floor the shelf would rock back and forth and I kept thinking it was going to fall over, the other thing was a cloudy window I couldn't see the water from the kitchen table while we were eating and the only reason I said anything about it was because it was a little cool while we were there and we didn't really get outside but thats not Tim and Nancy's fault other than that it was good time,great location

Perfectly Simple
We couldn’t have happier with our stay. The cabin was as clean as could be and cute as a button. It felt so private but we were also super close to downtown Oscoda and a short drive to all of the area attractions. Check in and out was a breeze. 100% will be staying again.

Beautiful view and location, just an older space
We enjoyed the view and waterfront beach experience, which made it all worthwhile. The inside is cute and comfortable, though a couple unfortunate aspects dimmed our view overall: 1.) Flies inside. Likely a result of windows being left open prior to our arrival, we had an infestation of flies. Killed at least a couple dozen within first night. After we'd closed windows, that helped cut the number down; though several were inside our entire 3 day stay. Not something that could've necessarily been avoided by owner, just unfortunate. 2.) A decent sized spot on floor by the door was quite soft and felt as if it was soggy, about to collapse. This seemed to indicate a need for floor repair. We put a towel down to mark the spot to avoid as much as possible, but difficult because it's right in front of doorway. That being said, we enjoyed the experience for the most part especially with the waves, beach views.

PERFECT GETAWAY
My Husband and I loved our vacation here! It's the perfect "upnorth" experience! The view is beautiful, the beach is great and there is even internet so my husband could do some work when necessary! We will definitely go back!

Perfectly Imperfect!
Clean beach, sand up to your door without a retaining wall (due to water levels over the past 1-2 years) = priceless and you get that here in #4 at Lazy Fish. I’ve been coming to Oscoda for about 30 years and I prefer the nostalgic feel,……And that’s a guarantee here. If you’re looking for the Taj Mahal, this isn’t the spot, but I say that in a great way. A northern MI cabin on the lake shouldn’t be decked out & fancy. With that being said (and I said this to Tim & Nancy directly, not being negative/passive aggressive online), there are some updates necessary. The pullout couch in #4 is being replaced, wish it was before we arrived! Needed more linens, but Angel got them to us the next morning (thanks). Couple other suggestions, reclining lawn chairs, sand games (ladder golf or corn hole), kids sand toys, etc. —> all of which are at their other property, Miami Beach. I suggested a Dollar Tree dish tub at everyone’s door to clean feet before entering cabin (thanks so much, they got us one before we left!!!). Bottom line, it’s perfectly imperfect with the nostalgic cabin vibe! Tim & Nancy are WONDERFUL and literally will do everything in their power to fix an issue and/or provide what you need within minutes. I only listed the suggestions because I feel we all can strive to do and be better! I would come back for sure, especially if they continue to update (oh and ceiling fans in Lazy Fish #4 like the other units!!). Thanks for allowing us to make lifetime memories on your property!

Perfect get away with the perfect sunrise view
Staying at the Lazy Fish was sure a treat! To be right on the water and to be able to watch the sunrise each morning was just beautiful. Centrally located to Tawas and Oscoda was another bonus perk. From just relaxing on the beach to exploring the area, my time at the Lazy Fish was exactly what I needed to rest and renew!

Just wanted to be steps away from the lake

A great getaway for a mental retreat and refresh
My wife and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and I found this location. It has everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. It was secluded and right on the water, which we loved! The site was clean and the owners were very nice and helpful. We never even left the site because we wanted to be by the water and have a campfire, convieniently right in front of the front door! Highly recommended site and will definitely be booking with Tom and Nancy again!

Beautiful view, excellent base camp for exploring the area.
We had a great time at Tim and Nancy's place, which they are in the process of renovating. Though the unit where we stayed (#5) was on the small side, we didn't mind since it had great natural lighting and was very well equipped. It had a nice outdoor seating area and an outstanding view of the water. We had a chance to look inside the other units (since they were not occupied) and were very impressed by the updates that had been done. It is a well-managed operation. Since the place is super close to the water, we could hear the sound of lapping waves. What a treat! We will be back for sure.

Excellent access to private beach area. Great for kids! The cabins are in need of updates but we met the owners and they were very nice and asked multiple times if we had everything we need. They are in the process of working in the property and we anticipate it’s going to be amazing when done. We would recommend this place for sure. We would stay there again as well.

Beautiful Oasis, but lots of work needed.
This is a gorgeously located area nestled on Lake Huron with immediate accessibility to the beach! The unit itself is in need of much work which I will describe below: *No AC in the unit and it gets quite stuffy at night, even with the windows open. *The electrical switch that controls that main lights also does not allow for the plugs to work at night. We found one outlet to plug in a fan and phone that was able to work with the lights off. *Bathroom cleanliness is poor. Holes in floor. *While putting away the sleeper sofa (which is not at all comfortable) a pair of womens dirty underwear was found beneath the couch. *There were lots of bugs and each morning spiders would create webs and one made a web inside of my purse. *Very tiny space *No bathroom outlet *An outdoor umbrella would be helpful for each unit *A water basin for rinsing feet would be beneficial to keep sand down. *Lock on door needs to be added/fixed *Utilize space in bathroom to make shower area larger

A little shabby....but on the Water!
For me and my partner it was fine...should be rented for 2 not4 .My daughter and grandson were with us...no room to open up sofa bed!We went to Walmart and got a blowup mattress.Had trouble locking the door...put a chair up against the door to partly secure it.
